Just love these lessons, although I know a reasonable amount of chords the little extra info does a lot. Thanks Greg

With age I think the transition from pop to rock to jazz is natural. I can easily do these beautiful cords! Thank you so much!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Good one Greg. The thumb position is something I had not come across in my learning though at times it was instinctive. 🙂

been a classical player for 50 years, my thumb always seems to want to be centered in the middle of the neck.... but I'll try to poke it up above the fret board... By the way Greg it's just too marvelous, too marvelous for words...!

This is what I've been doing naturally… I was hoping there was a better way. Like just barring the whole thing and muting the note you don't need. Sometimes, I'll barred the entire chord and use my fingers and pick to (finger)pick only the notes I need.

Ultimately the 'best' way is the way that works for you, it's not always the same thing for everyone. The only issue I see with what you describe is keeping the sympathetic string noise (from the strings you're not fingerpicking) down. Plus constantly holding down barre chords can be a bit taxing physically for some!

@ I haven’t noticed any unwanted noise yet. But I’m also terrible.
