The song has 3. key changes but it starts out in the key of D then the key of F then I think the key of C. I just remember playing it in the key of D and F when I played it live. It seems some people don't play the song right and don't use all the keys but maybe 2. keys. We need to make sure we are using all the right keys. When I looked this up it won't show or tell me what 3. keys you need to play La Gange or the order to play them in.

Since this riff is practically all draws and fairly fast, I have trouble getting enough air out on the one blow note. How do you manage it?

Hey Tomlin, I have a quick question for you or anyone else who has the experience and might be kind to reply. I'm fairly new to harmonicas and don't have much experience in harmonica keys, brands and models, So after Marine Bands and Special 20s I bought a Rocket Amp in the key of Bb that, in my opinion, is really fantastic; my next harmonica was a Rocket (plain) in the key of D that in my opinion is not as responsive and airtight as the Rocket Amp in Bb. So, do you think it might be the D key that makes the difference?, the harmonica type?, a random defective instrument that I got or what? Thanx in advance for your reply.

I can almost guarantee that the D harp is fine, it just needs some reed gapping work. There’s tons of YT videos showing it, and it’s an absolute must-learn skill to progress in harmonica.

@@norfolknwhey4787 Thanks for replying mate. I never had an issue with any of my, out of the box, Hohner harmonicas (Sp 20s, Marine Bands, and Rockets.) Actually, I was expecting an answer like "harmonicas in the key of D need some special effort" or harmonica is defective since it should play well just right after unboxing. -I did get an idea on harmonica customisation and have ruined a SP 20 already so I'm kind of hesitating to mess a Rocket on -BTW, I have some Lee Oskar and Sidel harmonicas that atm are squealing.
