Changes to Alter Since the Launch of This Video: Void Nexus Channel time when knocked decreased to 2s (was 3s) Chase portal duration decreased 8s (was 10s) Chase portal opening delay increased to 8s (was 6s) Increased travel speed to void nexus by about 40% (was 1800) Ult cooldown reduced to 3 min (was 3.5m) When knocked, you can travel to a friendly Void Nexus without looking at it by pressing character action (H key/D-pad down) Level 2 upgrade now is ring console

Altar is a Legend for creative players, who are willing to try out different angles and are willing to experiment with her rift. Her portal is great as well, you can place it, when your mate is down and make them come to you, or place it before going into a fight

Yes i usally pop it into a safe spot when i know we are about to get into a fight so if anyone goes down they can quickly get to safety assuming the enemy doesnt follow them

i got her yesterday and she’s so fun! the tac is insanely fun to use, my biggest tip would probably be to not waste it for just movement and wait for enemies to get good plays in fights

I was using Rev to crouch walk and flank now with Alter I can aggro from behind so my team can push or flip it if they aggro first. I think she truly shines with a team vs solo but has massive 1v1 capabilities as well. She A tier pushing S. Not broken and well balanced. Unlike Rev she doesnt have a the capacity to flee as quickly, especially in open areas. I love her, imagine if she could blink to wherever her tail pointed opening only a gate for herself at the same ranges. That would be broke.

Tip for the passive if you stand close enough to the wall and the deathbox is right on the wall you can loot through walls without the passive being triggered

you can also capture ennemies behind cover with her tactical, or endgame for exemple if you are in a building and a team is on the upper floor you can kidnap one of them and sometimes the entire team.

I wish she could manually close the portals, it would give her and even huger range of playability, but I can also see it be overpowered, maybe if they do that, give her a decently long animation so that way you can’t just close instantly

You can activate her ultimate portal if you are downed

As long you placed the Ultimate down before you are knocked, both yourself as Alter & your teammates can use the ability to retreat or reset

With the addition of this legend, i think ash is more outdated than ever. I think Ash should have her ult and her tactical swapped with the alteration that the throwing star now have unlimited uses for a 6 second duration. The portal remains a one way trip, and cant go through surfaces as normal, but has a 25 second cool down. The new throwing star ult has a half second delay after throwing a star before a new one can be thrown. The snare of the stars takes double the amount of time to break, and if you hold your ult during activation Ash slows her speed by 40% and brings out 6 throwing stars in her hands and takes 1.5 seconds to lock onto any enemies within 15 meters that are in front of her (even behind cover) and only visible enemies within 35 meters. When this charged ult is released the stars are thrown in random directions in wide arcs and seek out their targets. When the stars can't be evenly distributed, the extras go for the closest target.

Good idea would be to run Alter and Vantage in the same team, Alter for the rushing and angles, and vantage for sniper support and aggressive movement gameplay; but I main literally almost every legend, I don't just play one legend so I may not be the best for something like this lol

Don't really like the term secondary fragger. As for entry, not really. Yes her portal can be used to make a play but it isn't necessarily dedicated for this unlike a Knuckle Cluster or Maggie Drill.

When an ally ports to the Nexus, they leave behind a rift that opens after 6 seconds. Enemies can use this rift to portal to the Nexus. Anyone near the nexus will be notified of incoming enemies.

I spent all that time putting down my fences only to have some crazy emo lady and her teammates zip right past them unharmed. I also hate that she can immediatly identify the correct mirage when in the void. Kinda makea him useless.

Alter not only completely counters all the control legends, but she's overpowered against basically everyone else as well. I don't think that she should lose the phase effect because of wattson alone, I think it should go away because all together she's OP. I still think she shouldn't be able to immediately identity the correct mirage either.

Activating the ult when downed even for teammate will most certainly be removed or rewored. Name ONE ability in the game that can be activated when downed. Go on.....I'll wait. Why can't Valk uses her missiles when dowwned, it is shoulder mounted afterall. What about Bangalore with the shoulder mounted smoke cannon?

@@TimProVision It even looks wrong. You can crawl around while activating it but the character is using both hands to activate the pad. Respawn usually is careful with the hands animation so things that the character do makes sense, like unique animation for reloads when stimming with Octane.

Don't quite understand that gas trap combo from 9:45 Some extra footage would have explained it well Same it other spots in the video In one part you zoom the edit in on a kill you do on a balloon, not really necessary as this isn't a kill compilation, more distracting as someone might just look at the zoom in and kill instead of the listening to what you're saying. I'm already here to learn the character, so I don't need any short attention grabbing things in the video to make me stay. What you're saying seems to be good info.
