How to Play Count Dooku and Asajj Ventress in Dungeons & Dragons (Star Wars Build for D&D 5e)

Step-Second Cousin actually, as Lee's mother divorced, and then got Married to Fleming's Uncle; Also 007 wasn't entirely based off of Lee; Fleming had already been writing the character for a couple years (not yet published however), and simply used all of Lee's stories of being in MI6 as a way to make all of James's missions seem more realistic, and to have a greater sense of what actually went on during that time period.

I'm rather surprised that Dooku wasn't a Hexblade, sword bard, battle Master combo. Showing him to duel and basically raise his AC during combat by literally deflecting blows with his sword. I assumed Ventless was going to be a rouge, monk. But this one works really well

Fun fact, while Ventress has a lot of Form II added into her fighting style from Dooku's teachings, her primary style is Jar'kai, which is what dual wielding falls under. Her Jar'kai is also completely self taught since she started using it after her first master was killed and she took his lightsaber.

Jar'kai is not a saber form (the same could be said for Tripzet and Trákata), but it compliments Makashi very well. It also works very well with Soresu and Niman.

Technically I don’t think Ventress was to be trained as a full sith as much as a sith assassin. Much like the inquisitors post Order 66 they wield red blades and have some basics of sith skill, but not the fully training to become a sith lord

If I recall correctly Count Dooku was training her at the level where she would be his Apprentice after he killed his master, but Palapatin caught on. So he had (attempt) to kill her to cover his tracks.

@@passarovoador6662 well maul was rather talented in lightsaber combat, but I think Ventress had more skill with the force. So I’d have to say she’s stronger than Maul, but not the Grand Inquisitor

@@passarovoador6662 Ep 1 maul wasn't there yet, he was a deulist of good skill, and very talented, but not yet strong in the force. His slice in two actually really was his boost in power and that wrath became both his source of power and downfall.

Therefor, she may as well be, if not for a matter of semantics, which draws into question the validity of said rule in the first place.

Meh neither of them were Sith, the Darth Title means absolutely nothing in the modern era of Starwars; He was a Dark Jedi, no if's ands or buts, he never followed their religion, in fact, i wager he never stopped following the Jedi code, just simply believed that the order itself had. Also I don't count either Plagius nor Sidious as Sith either, because they weren't. Plagius may have been , but by the point he found sheev on Naboo he was more of just a dark side user in general, and Sheeve never cared for the Sith, nor the rule of two (neither did Plagius) they just usurped the titles because Plagius was once the apprentice of a Sith, and because Sheeve was and edgy weirdo obsessed with magic and controlling the future. The new Sequal trillogy tried really hard at the end to make Him something he never wanted to be tbh and it's silly. In the words of Maul, they were NOTHING but Pretenders

Dude I fucking love the piercer feat, I've got it on my Horizon Walker ranger. Doesn't work in tandem with the Planar Warrior ability, but with multiple attacks per turn you still have at least one attack thAt deals piercing damage

Christopher Lee was a serious badass; he would probably be worth its own building character episode himself. Guy was a pilot, intelligence officer (he was much of the inspiration for James Bond, as Ian Fleming was his step cousin), and helped hunt war criminals after the war. He almost married into the Swedish royal family, witnessed Frances last guillotine execution, and was the only LOTR cast who actually met Tolkien.

Your Dooku build can hold 2 Jedi per Hold Person, cause it’s 3rd lv spell, it hold 2 person per cast. Then you regain spellslots per short rest, so you can kill at least 4 Jedi per rest. Of course if they’re going a master and an apprentice, no more, no less 😛.

Here's a crazy idea from the DC universe. Alfred, the man who stands behind the Caped Crusader. Despite being the Wayne's family butler for years, in many incarnations, he's usually a former member of the British military, sometimes special forces. How to build this butler - First up, Dexterity. He's almost as good at sneaking as Batman himself. Wisdom - guy tends to be Batman's doctor. Charisma, as he must be good with lying to others. Intelligence, as he needs to keep up with the Dark Knight in knowing what he has. Constitution is a bit low, and we dump Strength - not really needed for the build. Background - If Batman's a Noble, Alfred has to be a Courtier, or can use the features to help keep Wayne Manor running. Get Insight and Persuasion. Alfred is a Human. Boost Dexterity and Charisma. Skill of choice - Medicine - Bruce needs to be patched up a lot. He also has many Skills - so let's grab Skilled to pick up Stealth, Slight of Hand, and Acrobatics - always useful for Butlers to sneak up on unsuspecting intruders, make sure to get out of the way of gadgets being tested, and not spill a cup of coffee. Starting class - Rogue. Grab Perception, Investigation, Deception, and Intimidation. Sneak attack also comes in handy, like when knocking out would-be intruders. Expertise on Medicine and Deception - Alfred covers for Bruce a lot, and always patches him up. Next, go Bard. Skill to get - History - you know the Wayne family story. Spell needed - Cure Wounds, need it a lot. Also, Vicious Mockery for dealing with young teenagers. Now, let's jump over to Fighter. Archery is the fighting style we want - Alfred will use guns (reskinned crossbows), unlike Batman. Alfred will also get Second Wind - he needs to catch his breath every so often. We're going down the Cavalier path and grabbing Animal Handling. Stop anyone trying to harm Master Bruce when he "can't" defend himself. Continue to Fighter 6, Boosting Dexterity until it's Maxed. Back to Rogue. Let's go Scout - many of the magic-less subclasses would also work - but Scouts get Nature and Survival, with Expertise. Go to Level 6, boosting Charisma along the way, and get Expertise for Slight of Hand and Persuasion. Now, back again to Bard. Go Collage of Lore, grab Arcana, Performance, and Religion. Go until Level 4 Bard, boost Charisma. Most spells would be to help out around the place. Now, let's go to Ranger, and snag Athletics. At Level 2 Ranger, get Dueling for those times he must hit with a melee weapon. At Level 3, go Hunter for Colossus Slayer. Finally, to cap it off, grab Tavern Brawler - those oversized plates are handy for smacking folks in the face. Pros - Alfred's got Skills, and Expertise on a bunch of them. 3d6 for Sneak Attack, a d8 for Colossus Slayer, attacks twice. Possibly have ways to get Advantage, and get out of the way. Weaknesses - he's a little scattered between the classes. Not a whole lot of magical damage. Kind of low on HP, with 123 total. Still, if nothing else, Alfred can buy Batman the time he needs to put his utility belt on, leave out the back way and then make a Dramatic Entrance.

Speaking to the end of Dooku's pros/cons section, if Dooku actually killed two Jedi a day for the full duration of the Clone Wars (which was around three years if I recall correctly) then that's over 2,100 Jedi. A full fifth of the Jedi Order and then some (again, if I recall correctly, I thought the Jedi themselves were numbered around 10,000). Not too shabby, not at all.

Honestly, the rule of 2 has always been the rule of 3. Sidius got Maul before killing his master, Dooku had Ventress (and Savage...), even Vader had Starkiller in Force Unleashed.

Hmmm. Couldn't you have gone sorcerer and gotten the metamagic option to turn shocking grasp into a 30 foot range and then went bladesinger wizard and pick up green flame blade? Would have done everything that the warlock levels did for Dooku.
