Drop D the 6th, easier, don’t need a capo and it’s the original way. I play it like that and sounds beautiful

Not in this context I’m giving you the shapes relative to the capo. But the chord sound absolutely changes. The first chord is actually a Dm but played with an Am shape

It sounds like you're playing it on a ukulele. Gotta get that low ring out from the first fret. Otherwise, it just doesn't sound right.
