Hey guys. I heard this song for the first time about 3 weeks ago. Hearing it was perfect timing. I'm just a country boy who was lost for words to tell a girl how I feel. The irony is that her and I go back over 20 years. We started seeing each other about 2 months4 ago. I asked her 3 days ago to be my porch swing angel and proceeded to play this song for her. Im currently a singer in a local band. As soon as I can afford to get a guitar, my lead guitar player is going to teach me how to play. Needless to say, this will be the first song I learn so I can play and sing it to her. I have a raspy singing voice with grit. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul for producing such great music and providing this awesome tutorial. I truly appreciate great artists like yourselves. Hopefully, I can bring her to one of your shows someday.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!! I chose Porch Swing Angel to learn because it rings true to my heart. I’m 40 this month. I started out as a girl who sang to her cell phone. One year later, I out of nowhere became the lead singer of a new band called @joycebehindthemic on Facebook. It will be one year in May, being a Lead singer in a full 5 piece band. And now, I’ve decided to grow a bit more and play guitar. I hope to add piano to that list one day. I am taking guitar lessons each week and this tutorial felt like learning at home with my best friend. I hope you read this because I’d love to shake your hand. I love Muscadine Bloodline, especially this song. It makes me think of my husband and how he feels about me. We’ve been married 17 years and 2 children. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for sharing your originals and teaching us how to be almost as amazing as you are!!! 143

It’d be cool to do a “Behind the Song” series- how you came up with it, what they’re about... Also... Gravel would be sweet.

Maybe do the next video with more focus on the placement of fingers and also the picking. The camera angles weren’t all that great. But you guys kick ass🤘🏽

i agree, it was a little difficult for me to follow along, still trying to break it down haha

Same I got the fretting patterns down I think but couldn't pick up the picking pattern, but regardless it is awesome that an artist put out a tutorial like this
@brentmarzec42925 жыл бұрын
It’s amazing an artist will do a tutorial of their songs but it is a little hard to follow. The angle of the camera doesn’t show what fret he is actually playing at the beginning. I’m much more used to reading tabs and I love this song.

Hey Gary , I am amazed that you share with us your beautiful playing , you guys are both awesome , I love your music , Thank you so much for this lesson I’ll sure have a go on my guitar on that one as soon I am back from work. One thing that I love too Gary is that you always stick to that same jumbo cutaway guitar , seems like you’ve got a special bound to it and you make it sound like heaven . I ‘d love to see a lesson on enemy too! I am a huge fan or your music guys , thank you and much love from France .❤️
