How to play PSP, PS1, PS2, PS3 Game on PS3 CFW/HEN

I’ve found on HEN that if I download a ps2 game from vimms lair and convert it to a pkg file using my PC it’ll work but on CFW, the ps2 game needs to still be in ISO format for it to work

Yes, that's correct. PS3 games come in two types of files: ISO and package files.

PSP is giving license problems as an iso and when I convert psp iso into pkg it boots me back to Home Screen . Retroarch for ps3 doesn’t support psp iso and managunz isn’t working for it either. Is there any other fix around this ?

doesnt work for me, my own PS3 iso rips give 80010017 error, which is to do with the encryption on the disc that needs deactivation (cobra on CFW is supposed to do this automatically I heard but doesnt work for me). PS2 games work. I dont see the point of Managunz as you can play the games through multiman anyway (and managunz takes agers to start up), thanks though.

Hey, how did you manage to play ps3 games in iso format in the PS3ISO folder? I tried several times, but every time it showed me an error message, but when I inserted it into the flash drive, it worked. Is the reason due to the Mangunz application or what?

When u go into file manager double click the game you've downloaded. When u look at what type of file it is it should show that it's an iso file. Just copy that file and put it into the folder inside ur USB. It's all pretty confusing

its because your ISO is still encrypted (if you rip your own ones, you need to decrypt them, im still trying to work out a way that works for that, almost no guides bother to tell you this, I guess they expect you to download already decrypted games. I have a load of PS3 originals and a busted BR drive on my PS3 so im trying to rip on the PC and install the ISO. ive tried patching with a key on a few games but hasnt worked so far. if you have cobra enabled (I do) its supposed to work, but doesnt for me.

This doesn’t make sense, it’s either custom firmware CFW or Hybrid Firmware HFW/HEN. Multiman is an app to play these games

sometimes if the HDD is too big it wont show up, it'll have to be partitioned into smaller sized chunks(3 seems to be the golden number). Your files may not be showing up if your HDD file directories aren't correct, you'll see nothing even when your HDD is being read by the ps3, Make sure your directories are "Exactly Named" these: PS3ISO, PS2ISO, PSXISO, PSPISO. You'll also want to make sure your files are the correct type too just in case. if none of these are the issue, you might be looking in the wrong areas, look in either Dev_hdd0 or hdd1 in the tmp folder, you'll find them there. there's also easier methods that specifically use Webman "MOD" and PrePISO(works on both CFW/HFW ps3's)

that means its a PKG file? thats how PSN installs stuff, so if you get the game that way, you need a PSN id on your PS3 to link it to. create one for free (I wouldnt use one you already have games on in case it gets banned) then they will work if its how I think your doing it.
