Are you sure those are the right chords for the chorus? Noeline Hofmann and Zach Bryan play this with a capo on 5 with G and C for the verse (matching your C and F at the nut). But they play Am and C for the chorus, which would be Dm and F at the nut, not Am and C as you suggest. Play along with their recording to hear it …

It would be the same “chords” just played in the shape of G instead the key of C, if you play in C like he does in the video without a capo it’s a different chords shape, as in you play with it on the 5th fret it’s still in C just the G chord shape
