I had a friend who ended up as the chameleon 7 rounds in a row. By the 3rd and 4th round, we automatically disqualified him because it's statistically impossible for it to be him. By the 5th, 6th, and 7th, we automatically voted him chameleon without giving clues and he was detected. That game night is always brought up in our friend group to this day! Such a good time 😄😄

We play with Among us rules. If we i correctly guess someone they get voted out and we re-roll the dice for a new word at the same topic. We do this until we vote the chameleon. If the chameleon guesses the word right they win but if not then they lose. Makes it much more fun ☺️

That can definitely happen, in that case The Chameleon would have to say something vague enough to apply to all words, without giving it away that they are the Chameleon! It's definitely a tricky spot to be in!

It can happen! It puts the chameleon in a very tight spot and they've got to hope they can find a general word that can apply to a few of the topics on the card without raising suspicion.

You could have just put the rules in the rule book. "You said to insert the chameleon card into the stack of blue reference cards, then deal out one to each player. Now someone has the Chameleon card" I got stuck there because I was trying to calculate how many ways you were wrong. If only 4 people are playing and you shuffle the chameleon card in with 7 other cards, how can you guarantee that "one of you is now the chameleon" All you had to do was say, "only use as many cards as you have players and make sure the chameleon card is one of them. Now shuffle and deal one to each player. Now one of you is the Chameleon" But nope, I had to come watch this video where you defined that rule quite clearly. It was frustrating because I was playing it for the first time at the cabin where there is no internet and you have to drive for 15 mins to get to a cell tower to use data. It was quite disappointing as I couldn't calm down my filthy angry mouth and we all had to play something different. PUT ALL THE RULES IN THE RULE BOOK

I've done it twice, you have to have a great poker face and try and go with a word that describes most of the answers on the board. I got lucky and wasn't found out. Definitely a bit nerve racking and probably the hardest thing in the game to do. Great game though, would put in the top 5 for board games for its uniqueness

The Chameleon just knows that the secret word is one of the words on the topic card so has to give a vague answer. Everyone else is trying to think of an answer that doesn't give the secret word away but isn't too vague! If you search 'some lovely board games' into KZbin and watch them play, it's a fab example of gameplay.

But, how does the chameleon does not know the word? The card with the words is up so that everybody can see it, and the A6 dice is there for everybody to see. So everybody knows that A6 is New York City,

Yes, if the Chameleon is the deciding vote, then you're exactly right, you haven't managed to catch them. The whole point is you need to be sneaky to not be caught and they've managed to fool more of the players into thinking they aren't the Chameleon, so they've done their job right!
