I was also thinking Comfortably Numb when I read the title. Hotel Calif isn't bad, but I can think of several others that would kick it from the top spot.
@edpearl5332Күн бұрын
Hot take: Comfortably numb solo is one of the most boring solos and it sounds like an improvisation and i literally can't remember the solo. I bet any decent modern guitarist could improvise something just as good in 3 takes.
@Tyler-hs9euКүн бұрын
@@edpearl5332 well i dont think you know just how well you used hot take as in your reply being deliberately provocative, providing a reply without any real substance or evidence to prove your point. Im no expert in music or anything but it certainly is top tier in how he articulated it and how he used the tone of the song with how he went from a major scale in solo 1 to minor scale in solo 2. Its no yngwie malmsteen, or jimi hendrix or whoever you think did the "best solo of all time" but it doesnt matter because music is personal and usually something you highlight that is the "greatest" is something that can transcend genres, usually attention to harmony and melody with blending styles is what does this best. He was a product of his time for sure and things have "advanced" but to quote the dude "thats just like your opinion man"
@edpearl5332Күн бұрын
@@Tyler-hs9eu boring song, no catchy melody, no beauty, some depressive/drug state, no talent in vocals. Yeah major to minor scale, you’re just proving my point that it sounds like an improvisation. Yeah he has some good pull offs, like triplet sort of feel, whatever. Nowdays there are people who do that with one hand behind their head. If you tell me that this solo is more recognizable or melodic than hotel california im sorry but you’re musically delusional. Go ask any kid who has to perform 1-2 mind infront of his school and give him a choice this song or hotel california 99% of the teachers would go for california. I dare to ask u too, which one would u prefer ur child play if he had 2-3 mins to perform? Im sorry I just don’t get why people like this song. Another hot take: Its idolised by lsd abusers to the point that its tradition and you literally have to fool yourself into liking it.
