Great video Steve, the pots to the middle pocket can be difficult but you make it look so easy...I will practice those.

Fantastic video. I've found popping a bit of side on those reds down the cushion helps to pot it more reliably.

Cheers Steve been away from a table for over 3 weeks, holiday but no tables where I was, went over a few old videos and although a slow start very close to back to something like, this video has reminded me of a few others areas for tonight before a match tomorrow, keep them coming mate, reminders and reinforcing good habits is not a bad thing 👍

What I like to do on the close shots is to look directly from above the red and imagine the cue ball in 2D on the surface of the table, if you know what I mean. This helps me a bit to better visualize the ghost ball. Of course that is not possible if the red ball is in the middle of the table. Thanks for another great video. Happy to share that I improved my PB up to 42 this week, your videos playing an important part of my progress :)

Thanks, always good, thoughtful, useful! I have noticed there's not video from any KZbin snooker coaching that integrates or mention Breathing. I would of thought it integral... maybe even part of psr. Is it irrelevant to playing other than the obvious remember to 'breathe'? Or is there something to apply in conjunction with techniques? It seems to belong... Eg breathe in on backswing, or at certain points in the psr Thanks again. Jason M ... Utah, USA

Great idea for a vid Steve. I love the bit about giving your brain more information. More 'real life' vids like this please because every time I play I ALWAYS get dozens of nasty little situations just like these.

Hi Steve. The shot that seems to need great care,,is the ball weather 1 ball off the cushion,,Black end of the table,,,Two angles required, 1 to get it along the cushion and 1 angle to get it into the corner, only about 3ft or so ,but great care is needed on such a minuscule angle..
@BartonSnooker
@BartonSnooker Жыл бұрын
Yes, that's right. Do you mean reds below the black spot?
@wendywhales2310
@wendywhales2310 Жыл бұрын
No,, Along the cushion top rail. 1 or 1.5 ball widths off the Black Rail, Be it Red or Blacl,,2 angles involved, Across and and second angle Towards the black pockets. Very tricky stuff in my opinion. Lol.

How do u play shots with the cue ball right on the cushion?
@mr.changlam1535
@mr.changlam1535 Жыл бұрын
when the red ball or colour in cusion always play with sides..coz it helps ur ball to flow..you can play plain also..but most of the times it missed...with sides 100% chances without side 70%..so it's better to go with 100%

My nemesis... The dreaded "Bridge shot" 👎😢 I used to be ok with it until I had an accident at work and lost the end of my middle finger, I'm hopeless at bridging now and just say to my opponent "You may as well put the foul points on now" Lol 😂😂😂

to me definitely most awkward type of shot is when object and cue ball are almost touching, i feel my aim then is more like coin flip rather than trained method
