Book states in two or three person game that the double route can only be taken once yet this video says in 3 player game that double are allowed to be used.

Nowhere in the rules does it state that you flip new cards from the deck to face up, if someone takes one of the cards that are face up. Some may say that this is obvious, but it was super confusing the first time playing it, when you're trying to figure it out from the rules alone. Even this video, it kinda skipped over that part, but at least it was shown visually in the video.

Tunnel question: Then no additional cards are needed Locomotives: if you play only them on a tunnel then if a locomotive is drawn in the three do you need to play another locomotive card to claim the route. (One for every locomotive drawn) I’m not even sure I’m explaining that well 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

That depends on where in America you are. On the east coast it's pronounced "root." Also, see American Bobby Troup's song: "(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66". And, really, is it that big of a deal? It's pronounced both ways these days.
