Thank you all for stopping by! I will make an addendum where base game Tzeentch DOES get access to Chaos Warrios with halberds, so past midgame you can pretty much replace all your forsaken with proper warriors. Hope you all enjoy, a ton of work went into getting this video ready for you all! Edit: In my excitement to get this video released I didn't add in the chapters! Give me a couple minutes and those should be working!

Thank you so much for taking the time and putting the effort to put this together. It’s quite extensive and comprehensive! I am new to such formations myself and have only come across the checkerboard before. It’s really fun trying to adapt these to the different factions and units of Warhammer. I don’t have the Warriors of Chaos DLC but I have Shadows of Change. I really miss having Chosen but Tzeetch Chaos warriors with halberds have performed quite well for me. I must admit that I hadn’t thought of using Soul Grinders as frontline tanks and I should have. Live and learn. Excellent suggestion on your part 😊 Also in the early game playing as the Changeling (first time ever trying Tzeetch) I found Chaos Furies extremely useful for sieging and for diving enemy missiles and artillery or just harassing. They are somewhat squishy but they provide excellent utility. That coupled with the Changebringers made for some interesting siege battles while Tzaangors rushed the walls from Vanguard deployment. Also I would like to ask, do you think there is a place for Lord of Change in these formations or would he be a liability being mainly a spellcaster unit. Although he can fight pretty well. He is like a mini Lord although I haven’t experimented with this unit as much as I should to draw any definite conclusions. Exalted heroes are excellent and a much needed addition to the roster! Thanks again! 🙂

Thanks right back for watching! As far as the Lord of Change goes, I don't tend to recruit them until I've grabbed a couple of the research that provide them more bound spells. You can absolutely use them as a more expensive version of the cockatrice... they just become much more worth it with those specific research nodes. I usually just run another Exalted Hero when I need a big flying beat stick though! I'd say the main benefit to picking up Warriors of Chaos is just the ability to evolve your Lords and Sorcerer Lords of Tzeentch into Daemon Princes! Chosen are great, but like you said chaos warriors with halberds do their job just fine!

Thank you for the effort in making these guides. I just started playing and have not purchased any DLC and being able to see the formations with and without dlcs is super helpful. I subscribe thanks 😊

Late game, why not use "Lord of Change"? Aren't they good?
@spacewizardtwАй бұрын
They are excellent since flying allows you to pick and choose engagements, but are a bit squishier than your soul grinders. They'll also be a unit that gets even better as you finish the research that grants them extra bound spells! I just prefer Soul Grinders for the tankiness and dedicated anti-large missiles!

@@spacewizardtw Thanks for the response. Are those late-game spells in the research tree included in the calculations for auto-resolve? I do that with most my battles. If not, then maybe I won't run them. Waiting 3 turns for them to recruit is a long time. That extra turn with no reinforcements can mean a huge difference.
@spacewizardtwАй бұрын
They should be yes! Auto-resolve seems to really care about things like armor and other % saves the most. Low armor units get annihilated in auto, even if they'd be fine in manual! All the first tier daemon infantry struggle pretty hard because of this.
