I can say as a venge main, I think her Shard is actually worth buying at 15mins when you consider it as a farming tool. Getting a double nuke really helps you to clear camps faster. Plus just watching gameplay of people that don't buy it, they're just losing so much value in team fights when you could be throwing double stuns out, compared to single target stuns

I've been playing venge 5 since the solar crest buff and she feels really really good! But her lvl 25 talents are so underwhelming now. Wish they kept the debuff immunity stun because it was what made her v.late game viable as a support in my opinion

I got confused by "damage reduction" so I reread the Nether Swap ability. The damage reduction refers to the Ally heroes "taking less" damage rather than enemy units "making less" damage. It's a defensive buff. I initially thought the enemy unit gets reduced damage output. Because of this video, it's now clear to me. :)

That's interesting, I thought she got nerfed real hard with 7.33 and so I stopped playing her -- the stun was already a pretty short duration and they gave her nothing to compensate for the nerf. Could argue making her a universal hero indirectly increased her auto attack damage but I didn't see that mattering on a squishy p4/p5 with such a short attack range. Mind you, I'm only like Archon 3 so my opinions are shit lol

I’m a Venge spammer and generally agree. Almost 80% win rate this patch. My exceptions at pos 5 at slightly lower mmr: Headdress is super value since Venge and her pos 1 generally have regen issues. It potentially builds into a better item, but totally fine on its own. Always take the 10, 15 missile talents and the swap CD talent. Level 25 is dealer’s choice. Shard, Force, Blink, Aether are default items. Maybe Glimmer. Vlads decent if you can’t show w/o dying , or for 5 manning with team. Aghs if you get a foothold in the game and can afford it. Otherwise, get utility.

So many combinations when thinking about this hero. I just tested her buffing up Broodmom, brood buffs her own Base dmg with her q, in combination with venge aura and a vlads its absolutely disgusting. Also the classic tide and venge lane just got soooo much better. Even though both heroes offer the same things, doubling down on them feels so good early on. No melee can lane against you. With tides talent you get 85% dmg reduction (i think its base) combined with venge wave its basically 100% physical dmg reduction, its so stupid. In general this patch allows so many stupid combinations, cant wait to see what the best teams brew for The International

Short and Sweet guide thx I'd love to learn how to get farm on this hero. Is it primarily stacks, killing heros, having some me time when nothing is happening, or done other ways

I feel like stacks arent that great, Wave of Terror is amazing but you lack AoE dmg to finish it off otherwise. That being said your high base dmg, great BAT and Wave of Terror make jungling single camps really really easy, so if theres nothing to do just do what venomancer does and jungle a bit i'd say. If the option is there tho, i feel like going for ganks/kills is always preferable since thats what this hero really excells at.

For my settings, I don’t bind anything for ‘select my hero’, and I’ve trouble controlling vengeful spirit’s illusion (the aghs) when it’s dead. Anyone has a way to solve this? I don’t bind ‘select my hero’ as I don’t like the camera shift when I click it, so I bind it to group 1 instead

Nice Video. I think the shard is a situational item for a 5 supp, but it should be mandatory for a 4 supp.

Havent played dota for a while does swapping a teammate in low HP while they are in Doom's ult can reduce the doom damage?

@ZQuixotix Unchecking help from Venge does not stop her from swapping. Unfortunately, swap doesn't count as help. I have been griefed like that so I know. A griefing Venge cannot be stopped

IMHO Venge was never bad at pubs, and she shouldnot be support. The thing with venge is that she scales very very well so in lower mmr go for "man up" build. She can do so much dmg so quick, but the problem is that you cant buy any farming items on her and she dosnot have any farming spell... I remember in original dota venge + drow or sven was the most dangerous combo, but in dota2 you dont get that much exp on early killz nor gold, so ye MB pos5 is her new role, its still sad for me... They should not nerf that attack range on her passive
