This is super helpful ! As a total beginner in classical guitar this is my biggest detractor from playing confidently. Definitely going into my exercise repertoire. Thank you for putting this out there.

@@wccwy5514 I agree. Would be nice to be able to have lessons. I had a teacher and I have some memory issues, and i almost broke him trying to learn amazing grace. I can do it now, miss a couple notes here and there, but at least it's consistent.

Very helpful. Have various left hand warmups or calibration as you call it. I neglected the right hand.

Glad it helped! It's easy to neglect the right hand, but feels SO good once it's feeling solid.

@@soundguitar I added the calibration. It's relaxing. Went ahead and trimmed my fingernails so they don't hang on the strings.

@@soundguitar I'm having the action on my acoustic lowered. Been at the local guitar guy for awhile now. So hopefully I'll have it to learn the girl from ipanema soon. Very hard on the electric. Have the first five chords down, by having trouble remembering the names. And those two chords you said are hard, you're not kidding . Maybe there's a substitution, I've been practicing everyday now for the last two weeks and my left hand is suffering. I can crack nuts with it, and put cigarettes out with the tips...at least something is going right.
