How To Play Xenoverse 2 Mods ONLINE with Friends (LEGALLY)

As the person who Rhymestyle was beating up in this video, he left out an important detail: When you install the Xenoverse patcher to actually use mods (again, find a different video on how to do it), you need to edit a value in said patcher. So go into the XV2PATCHER folder in your Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 directory and find a file called XV2Patcher.ini. Open it with Notepad, and do Ctrl+F search for the word "excessive". You'll find a value called "excessive_air_contamination", and it will be set to false. In order to actually connect to the Xenoverse servers with mods, you need to set it to true. So it would say "excessive_air_contamination = true".

@@VGGamess Nah I'm on PC. You can do it for console but I believe it requires a lot of extra work and some other actual parts. Doing it for PC was relatively easy once I understood what I'm doing.

When doing the mods and installing them, I simply download all of the mods we both want then send over the data folder as that's where everything is contained. It hasn't broken on me yet so I think it's a super viable method if you want to install tons of mods for the both of you. Just make sure the mods actually work before sending the data folder over.

@@abrantp3666 No, you use the eternity tools Rhyme mentioned in order to install them but all the data from those mods are in the data folder. I zipped up the data, emailed to my friend and they extracted the data folder to their XenoVerse 2 Directory. That allows them to have the exact same mods as me with no conflicts.

The best way to do it is this in my opinion. I have multiple thousand of mods and dont have to think about us all doing it in the same way. You : Install Mods, and change the ini file to have excessive_air_contamination to true and save it. Make a rar of your XV2 data folder and the ini file, and send that to your friend Friend : Downloads the rar, and installs it to their game. I found its very very easy to mess up installing things in the right order, its way better to just have the exact same data folder. Even just the character select being different can mess things up. XV2 Mods run off of your data folder, so if your data folders are the same, you're good.

another easy thing you can do thats left out is you can transfer mods via data folder so you can have the exactly the same mods as your friends

gonna shout out a great aura mod that came out recently which is shakaros aura pack. makes the auras just so much nicer looking imo! also if you want a cool character that has a cool custom counter check out gamerchiefs super android 13!

I believe so. Ive personally never tried multi lobby with mods installed. I just always go into Single lobby -> Online -> invite friend and it works

How can I stop my Xenoverse 2 from crashing after any quest, Raid Boss, or PvP match? I have NOT been able to fix this for about more than a year now.
