Is it normal for tires to leak even though there are no nails or anything?

Could be a valve stem leak or poor contact with the wheel (bead leak). Spraying soapy water all over these areas should reveal the leak.

@@MikesCarInfo Do you have a video showing what to look for when pouring soapy water all over the tire? If it is a valve stem leak then how do you fix this? Thanks for replying.

@@Pulpswo Soapy water will make obvious bubbles around any leak. Valve stems can be replaced at a tire shop or you can get a valve replacement kit at any auto parts store.

Nicely done video. But on one point, my experience is completely the opposite of yours. Do not let some of the plug stick out beyond the tread. Instead of the plug wearing down, the constant contact with the road - touching and then pulling away - keeps gently pulling on it and working it out of the hole. Better to cut it off at least flush with the tread or even a little below

Dont use SLIME KIT. THEY suck. The RASP is poorly made . It's basicall a stupid spiral. No good. They are not high quality. You need to make the hole larger for the plug. YOu will need to penetrate hole with a metal screwdriver tip or a round real rasp for plug to penetrate. Almost impossible with stupid slime tool.

The spiral simulates a drill bit to remove material and make the hole round as seen in the video. I never had a problem with it my self. What brand do you recommend?

@@MikesCarInfo I had a slime kit just like yours. returned it last week. Bought Hypertough with better sharper rasp. Worked better. Bought extra bottle glue. Used the kit minutes ago because slime patched hole was leaking . We will see if it works out.
