Same here from malaysia! I learned a lot from these videos and slowly learned about theories of porting then succesfully increased power of the bikes i’ve built💪🏻

It,s nice to see someone port a 4 valve for a change.

One of my favorite engines. Yes it has some weaknesses. But you can easily fix them and then the RB26 is a force to be reckoned with.
@headgames8 ай бұрын
yeah we just make them more like a 2JZ

@headgames I built one in 2017 that made almost 1000hp. Nice big oil drain on the back of the head. Oil flow restrictor to the head and a proper billet oil pump with a collar on the crank. I would have liked to do a main bearing brace as the blocks like to crack where the oil feed is on the side of the block. The brace eliminates that.

Damn that head as seen some deTONation action! Them pistons were hungry for some electrodes! It must have been a smashing good time! Great video btw

With him free handing identical circular ports of the same dimension without measuring, I feel like this might not be his first porting job.

How far down after the valve seat do you port in order to be within that 85 - 90 %
@headgames8 ай бұрын
.250
@headgames8 ай бұрын
I should say, that is the most crucial, we do about .500
@michaelkeene36868 ай бұрын
Do you use the same percentages valve/throat on the intake and the exhaust? Or can you increase the percentage for the exhaust since the charge is being pushed out?
@headgames8 ай бұрын
every head is different. There is no blanket answer there.

How do you recommend dealing with core shift at the valve seat? Having a lip edge at the base of the seat
@headgames8 ай бұрын
if you mean where the seat is kinda appearing bigger than the casting? Like there is casting you can't get to. I suggest always to just leave it. There is not enough gains to go through the trouble of trying to fix it.
@azizkhan11808 ай бұрын
like at the throat of the valve seat, the casting is larger on one side. you can't port because its already too large but you know there will be some turbulence from the incoming air at that point which slows down air.@@headgames
@headgames8 ай бұрын
yeah but the alternative is pulling seats out, welding, reshaping, cutting new seats in. Not worth all that effort and certainly don't think a customer is paying for it. We could theorize what happens to that area but I have never seen it stop an engine making power. @@azizkhan1180

Can you show us the best way to remove valve guides without going to shop.
@headgames8 ай бұрын
I could show you how to remove them, and even putting them in. BUT they do not come sized on the inner diameter. That is where you need a machine shop with tooling to resize the guide for valve to guide clearance. I don't think there is an advantage of doing that yourself.

All fun and games trying to plug your burrs till you go on the website and nothing is in stock

Sorry bud. They sell fast and take forever to get them back in stock. If you fill out the "get notification" of when they are in stock you would be ahead of the pack.
