Tyrese aka Darrel from Evan's detailing and polishing shows how simple polishing a peterbilt grill can be with the right process. Keep in mind this is only the third time he has polished a grill and he is killing it. I've watched this young man grow a lot over the past few months and his buffer control is growing everyday. I truly hope these videos are helping you learn how to properly polish metal. Be careful and stay safe.
Of course everything we use in our shop is available for purchase in our shop and on our website. goshineon.com/shop

Hey Evan, I'm.wondering about this I have an 2011 honda odyssey aluminum wheel I'm sanding faulty clearcoat down to 600 grit and polish with mothers polish and then clearcoat 5 coats to offer protection so raw aluminum is not in the air. I'd rather leave the polished surface but presume it will oxidize quicker with no protection. So I clearcoat and the shine then comes from the clearcoat vs all that nice polishing. What do you think am I doing the right thing?
@EvanStegerMetalPolishing
@EvanStegerMetalPolishing 3 жыл бұрын
Most clear coats won't stick over proper polis. You'll also need more than mother's polish over 600 grit. Mother's isn't very abrasive.

@@EvanStegerMetalPolishing man I wish I knew what I’m doing wrong. I’ve tried sanding first and without sanding and I just don’t get good results.
