I’m assuming you are removing the old sealer and calcium deposits. Then you are sealing. How do we know we have done enough polishing before we put the sealer on?

This is a common problem with pitted and porous granite. I suggest you consult an experienced restoraiton expert to see what can be done.

How long after completion of the Proseal application should the Ultimate be applied? Is there a cure time for the sealer before that final process can be initiated?

The Proseal will evaporate quickly. The Ultimate can be applied immediately after you remove the residues from the entire counter. Always start the application of Ultimate in the area that you first started the Proseal when performing a polish and seal. Ultimate can also be used as a periodic surface polish. The sealer cures in 24-48 hours. Under normal use, you should dry any area and wipe any area down that becomes wet during the cure time. If the surface is still porous after 24 hours, you should add another saturating applicaiton of sealer in the same way as demonstrated. After that, normal maintenance protocols can be followed.

Yes you can purchase powdered dyes to reduce that effect

Can you please tell me how you use the drill where the faucet is? The worst part is between the sink and the back splash and around the faucet and dish soap dispenser.

Use CLR and a magic eraser if you need to clean the area around the sink first. A lot easier than a drill, just let the CLR do the work (you can even use on faucet). Then you can clean with the Steps outlined here (if it needs polish), but if the area is cleaned well, wait about 24hrs and seal it, done.
