I have just bought all he products to do this on my recently acquired 360. Really useful tips as I need to get the 0000 gauge as well as the 000 and I now know you do need to give to a bit of wellie. The finish looks fantastic so I am now looking forward to getting this done. Great Vid and looking forward to a new season of them from you when the car comes fully out of hibernation.

Congrats on the 360! They are a great car. Yeah, you have to use a bit of elbow grease to break through the tarnish. Try using the 0000 first and if that doesn't work then use the 000 gauge after. That way you're starting with the lightest and working to the harsher method. I'm looking forward to getting her back out too, I miss pampering her! Enjoy your 360 mate if it's the one in your pic she looks lovely.

Thanks for the tip. Keep up the good work as I enjoy doing as much of my own detailing as possible and your videos show that, if you have a bit of time, you can do most things yourself. The car in the picture isn't mine but is the same except for the non-standard wheels in the picture. Cheers

It was my comment above but somehow responded via my daughters account. Technology?
@MySupercarLife7 жыл бұрын
Lol, I thought so, got to love technology! I personally think with any areas of detailing you should try to do it yourself. Some areas of detailing, like paint correction for example, can be a bit daunting but there are lots of great guides on the internet of how to do most things and clean most areas.

Just been out to have a go on the exhaust tips on the 360. They are tightly in not leaving enough room to work with wire wool without potentially touching the bodywork. I used a micro fibre but it doesn't give me the opportunity to work the polish hard. Any ideas. Cheers

Thanks, I've been busy with work and fitting a kitchen at home, so not had much time. Plus the weather has been shocking, but comments like this make me motivated to do more. Thanks mate :)

Try P21s buddy....amazing results...i use it all the time for polishing exhaust tips....saves a massive amount of time, products...nice vid tho....love the music too...keep up the good work

Hey Robbi, nice to hear from you. Looks a bit better than the manky mess it was before! I have the P21s, just not used it yet. It looks amazing for exahust tip cleaning, I think it might have struggled with this as it needed something really harsh to get through the staining. Funny thing is though, once you first break through the yellowy brown discolouring it gets easier to do the rest! The music is a homage from when I first started KZbin just under a year ago, and it's a little celebration as I've just passed 1000 subscribers which I'm really proud of.

Good work but the finish has scratches showing. Wouldn't use the 000 steel wool personally as I think it's too abrasive. Think metal polish on a machine with a MF pad would buff it up to a perfect mirror finish as a final step.
@MySupercarLife7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Some of the fine scratches were already there, but in the video I didn't finish with the 0000 steel wool which would have given a finer finish, or you could just use 0000 gauge instead of 000. I agree that using a machine polish afterwards would have given the perfect finish, I would have done this but my 80mm pads had come away from their backing and I think a 5.5" would be too big.

I feel like the wool will creat micro scratches and rust will form
