I was a production painter for 20 years. I’ve been out of the game for about 10 years now and just recently got back into detailing and polishing on the side. I have all the DIY detail products. I purchased the wool pad, yellow pad, jewelling pad and the gold standard polish. I’ve used it for a simple one step correction, I have used it to wet sand with 1500 grit, 3000 trizact, and 5000 trizact. From my experience so far, it appears to be an almost perfect system with fantastic results!!

yeah they’ve recommended a different panel prep though because (from what they said) the prep can have different additives for their coatings

Use them as you would with their pads, 3-4 pea sized drops on the pad.

@DIY Detail. So if the system includes polishers does that mean I'm stuck with their polishers in the beginning until I get experienced polishing? Or can I get by with their pads and polishes? That would mean I have to give more weight on which polisher first. Thanks Yvan

No, it’s the pads and polishes that are the key. Yes the machines are part of it, but every rotary does the same thing, every 21mm DA does the same thing.

Im to the point where id like to start learning machine polishing.....probably going to get a cheap palm sander/polisher from Harbor Freight or Walmart but then get your waffle pads and polish due to the ease of use
