Thank you for the instructional video, seems the shining happens from the 1000 grit and higher lower grits are for smoothing. 12000 RPM angle grinder too can be used but with a very light pressure towards the marble and quickly massaging the marble as the RPM is 12000, fixed speed angle grinders are usually minimum 12000 RPM and variable angle grinders are costly

awesome finish. I use this in commercial applications but never use a sealer on natural stone. I use a crystallizer with steel wool pads for maintaining the floors. I love these pads
@tilemasterfloorcare
@tilemasterfloorcare 4 жыл бұрын
That's great news. In UK we now have a big push on eco products. Hotel love that fact we can maintain Thier floors with just water and a little pH neutral cleaner or TM stone soap. We love crystallizer to pop that final shine on our domestic jobs, but try to keep maintenance with just water and the hybrid pads. These even pull all the veins together well on variegated stone, where normally we have all gone to crystallizer.

hi , yes its like driving a car, you need to go up through the gears, if you jump grits the end result will be a low shine. each diamond pad builds its own shine, from a matt, to a satin, to a high shine, but if you skip the middle pads, the end result will be a low shine finish

@@akbarnitti we you Tilemaster CPS which is a solvent based impregnating sealer that gives water and oil proofing. Some polishers like to use stone soap but this is only a water repellent for a few weeks and can be good for hotel lobby or anywhere no food or oil will be spilt. If you use your edge machine on show speed it won’t really splash or alternatively you can use dry pads at the edge for marble polishing so no water is needed

It’s hard to answer as every pad can be different to the next but depending on the level of shine you need to start from the bottle grit and work your way up
@tilemasterfloorcare

@@tu1469 1000 grit is already high polishing pad, it sound like to need to start lower like 200 and flatten out the surface. If the surface isn’t flat and smooth the high pads can’t provide the right polish and in turn the end result turns out much less shinier.

Hi, i want to learn on how to do marble. Can i apply this in any kind of marble? And how to identify what kind of marble or stone? Thank you
@tilemasterfloorcare
@tilemasterfloorcare 2 жыл бұрын
Yes any kind of marble can be polished in this way. Also Limestome and Travertine, onyx and many other stone. The result depends on the stone thou. More open, and abrasive stone like limestone which are not as dense may not take a shine well and you would need to leave a honed finish. This stone takes a shine well, so it is easy to create a mirror shine and you can get it even brighter if you used powder polish at the end.

how could you polish the corners on the floor in real life example?
@tilemasterfloorcare
@tilemasterfloorcare 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Adam The corners are done in a number of way. You can either do them with a hand diamond block which is square or you get put triangle shaped pads onto a multi tool. Also if you are renovating a tile that was installed polished, the chances are the corners are still at the correct shine as No one has ever walked on them. Also you will fine because of the corner and the skirting boards it impossible to look through the shine as there is no reference point for the reflection. It’s a bit like a granite or marble work top. The edge of the top is never polished to the same standard or finish as the face of the worktop because you don’t have the same surface area to reference the shine. Hope that makes sense.

hi we are just using water in this video, but if you want to create a high gloss or shine we have a range of marble polishing powder that do this. Yes the lower grit diamond pads like 200 and 400 grit will help remove scratches, stains and acid etch marks. the 5000 grit is for the last stage of polishing. Polish marble is like driving a car. you need to start in first gear and work your way up through the gears. you can jump from 1st to 5th. if you dont spend the time with the prepwork you wont get the final result
