Great Video. it sometimes helps to remove the lip of the orchid when pollinating. Once pollinated, the seed can take up to 6 months depending on the species. Orchids have thousands of microscopic seeds that are most successful in germinating under completely sterile environments in flasks, making it very difficult for a hobbyist to actually grow orchids from seed, many orchid nurseries have laboratories specialised just for germinating orchid seed.

@AaronKSLee oh really thats cool and i was reading ur other comments i felt like i just read a book about orchids so thanks for ur amazing comments

My understanding is that the seeds produced probably have to be grown using tissue culture techniques. The orchid seeds have no endosperm or energy source of their own. It's not like dropping a bean seed in a hole in the ground. There are very good videos that show how to grow orchid seeds.

@JakesJayas if I'm not wrong it takes from around 3 years and older from seed to flower.

growing orchids from seeds are best left to the experts! one reason is that you need to grow them in a sterile environment, in test tubes, and the germination rate isn't that high. Your best bet is threw division and kikis.

yes actually its nice and I have some experience. but I don't know find the time(age of flower) for pollination... some time it not success.. I thought I used very young flowers//..How I identified the pollination time for phalanopsis...?
