Hey! Mike 🎄Thanks for checking out my replay. ✨ Let me know if you have any questions when you check out their website. I’ve been using them for about a year and a half and they’ve helped me keep my KZbin channel in good standing. 👍 They’ll start paying me when I reach 4000 watch hours and join KZbin’s partner program. 🌺🍾

What is shocking to me is how big companies like epidemic and sony can claim copyrights even on your original material and it seems there isn't any mechanism to protect the creators against those bullies. I follow the Chord of Orion channel here and he was the latest victim of both companies. Not only did he lose money but it was also very frustrating and humiliating experience.

It’s interesting that you brought that up, Peter. 🔥 Just two days ago, a random company copyright claimed one of my videos although I used royalty free music I sourced from Adobe Express. I did some research and found out this company is doing that to a lot of creators on KZbin- claiming royalty free music or music licensed from sound libraries. Luckily, I was able to get the claim overturned, but this isn’t the first time this happened to me on this platform. There are thieves that place content ids on royalty free music or content in the public domain and they use YTs handsoff copyright enforcement system to steal creators monetization. YT recently sent us a survey asking for suggestions and I mentioned this huge problem. Anyway, this is why my mailing list is so important. If the problem gets any worse, then serious creators like myself need to look at other platforms. But I’m hoping YT will address this and makes moves to fix this problem in 2025. Thanks for your thoughts, Peter. 💕

@@psycheopera In the other channel I mentioned, Chords of Orion, after the creator exposed epidemic and made a big deal, finally had epidemic coming to his channel and posting a hypocritical apology. The only thing they fear and the only thing that can work is exposure. What they do is illegal, but they are protected by their size. We need to expose them and share with as many people as possible their illegal actions to force them to stop. Maybe if many people join together to share the legal costs they could take legal action against them and the platform here

I agree, Peter. ✨The fault also lies with YT for not reprimanding or taking corrective actions against entities that abuse their copyright claim system. I’ve signed a petition and sent YT feedback through their survey, but I don’t think they have an incentive to act against these thieves. Furthermore, creators, such as myself that produce videos, but also work outside of KZbin, do not have the time or funds to organize such a campaign. For people like me, the most practical way to deal with this is to dispute every faulty claim, keep publicly hounding KZbin about this issue, and build up a mailing list in the event that we have to change platforms. I appreciate you bringing this topic up, Peter. ✨ My policy is to always stay positive on my channel… I don’t like to burden my audience with my problems, but, I appreciate your concern for your favorite creators and for helping us voice the issue. 🙏🔥
