hello Desmond, well a #hashtag is just a word with this symbol ( # ) in front of it, and the idea is then nthat word becomes searchable when other search for a video or tweet or post using that hashtag

well I suppose there sort of is and that's what the social media algorithm's works out for you. every view, click, like, watch etc gives info to Twitter re subject's your interested in and from that they fill your news feed with those topics. However they will always still offer suggestions on other subjects

Why do you need to put hashtags on posts, Mark?

Well you don’t need to Marilyn, but the way hashtags work on Twitter and other social media sites is that people search using hashtags. i.e. if you were visiting the Sydney Opera House and and you posted on social media a photo of your or the event your where attending you could add hashtag #sydneyoperahouse so that would then leave behind a searchable post on social media for when anyone else searched Sydney Opera House

I use Twitter on a desktop and find Twitter pretty useless most of the time. Firstly: what are the hashtags for, why add them? Second: Why I cannot see or read my own tweets. I don’t understand the point of making up hashtags no one else uses. Why would you do this? The point is to create a string of characters that can be used to search for and identify content related to a specific topic. At some point, someone needs to be the first to use a hashtag, but if all of your hashtags are only used by you, then they are only useful to you- so really pointless from a “selling” perspective.

Hi Tim, we I suppose when any of us Tweet anything it then become public and in theory the whole world can see or find it. However Twitter doesn't work that way in so much as lets say you have 100 people following you, twitter will only display you Tweet to a small sample of your followers @ 5 only. Its just how things work on all the social media platforms so if you want more people to find your Tweets then you have to learn how to master the platform and be constantly doing all the right things to maximise your reach to be seen and found more

Do you care about increasing the quality of your videos? If you do, then please stop having a wall square to you. Have it angled so that you get less reverb. Make your audio better. Any of that hollow sound (of room reverb) gets in the way of hearing you clearly. Room reverb cripples plosives and fricatives that serve as word identifiers. Get oblique to hard walls. Hard wall surfaces are not your friend during production. Good journey.

I'm seeing what appears to me to be double use of the Tweet button. You first used it to send a tweet about one of your offspring. You used the same blue tweet button later just to open a tweet page. This is confusing - a single blue button that does two different things. I guess it's 'smart' eh? It won't Send if it doesn't have anything to send, eh? I recommend you do another one of these videos about how to use Twitter. This next time with the assistance of people who know zero about it. See it through their eyes. Assume nothing...unlike this time. I'm strongly recommending that you never again do a video where you show the world your beloved kids or anything else about your person or family. Don't take such chances. You have nothing to gain by doing so. You would be wise to avoid all the 'I, me, mine' stuff. We're here to learn a technique, not about you or your personal life. Good journey.
