It could be a browser issue, an app issue, or a system issue. If refreshing Tapas doesn't help, and waiting it out doesn't work, try checking for system/app/browser updates. Consider running Tapas on another browser. Make sure you don't have anything blocking pop-ups. Also consider checking connection and speed, that it's stable and fast.

Is it ok to post like... Once a month? I get very easily distracted and do my artworks very slowly. And i get very easily stressed when i have to do something in a short amount of time. 😅 And im still new to digital art, I'm used to traditional art because I only have a tablet that is broken and was bad from the start. As the creator of your own comic, you decide your own schedule. We have a series that was extremely consistent, and another that has just been updated once in a rare while. Needless to say, that which was consistently updated was significantly more popular. It really comes down to your personal goals. We will have a lot more videos coming out this year, including some on overcoming fears, dealing with criticism, and staying with a project. We've had to go through these things, which has equipped us to now show others. Our content may not be entirely what you're looking for, but we wish you a happy New Year, and welcome you to stick around as long as you like!

For an individual page on Tapas, there's a maximum width of 940 pixels, and no height limit. The file size can be up to 20MB.

Can I ask something personal? I want to publish a webcomic, but I learn that getting paid in webtoon requires so much struggle and even if I become an original, I will suffer by time management. So I search and find Tapas is one of the platforms that's popular like webtoon, I also notice that Solo Leveling became anime which is something I also wish to happen to my webcomic. I know it's going to be a long journey, but I also want to take this as my main job and possibly, can I get paid? And roughly how much can I get? I'm planning to share on social media to draw readers and I'm planning to make Patreon too, does doing all of those will get me paid as much as webtoon can?

@@inazawakoreto Many webcomics, including Solo Leveling, began as a novel first, then got adapted into a webcomic, then adapted again into an anime. This means Solo Leveling already had a built-up following before the webcomic launched, adding to its success. Everyone's circumstances and experiences are a bit different, but here are some general truths... It is a lot of work. It will likely take years with consistent effort to get where you want to be. Though some creators do, most creators don't make enough money from their comics alone to support themselves, regardless of the publisher they work with. It is, for many, a labor of love. It's hard to give real dollar amounts because it's so different for everyone, however, the income from ads is usually pennies to double-digit dollars, meaning you can get more money with one day's wage at any entry-level job than one month's grind at comics with ads. The profits depend largely on the number of updates you put out and--even moreso--the overall popularity of your comic. Donations and direct support from fans usually helps a lot more than anything else in the early phases. We do not recommend making comics to those who are interested in the potential money. Rather, we recommend comic creation to those who are passionate about telling their stories, and for those individuals, perhaps they will have a story so loved by the world that they will be able to make a pretty profit as well... eventually. Your dreams are attainable, but it's important to understand the journey ahead.

Hi there! I am in secondary high school basically i am kinda busy but i am interested in making a webcomic and i also have a storyline. I don't know where to post my comic as i am not really doing it for money if that makes sense lol. Is it ok if i upload my comic on tapas as well as webtoon? I know it might be time consuming but i am willing to do it

Of course! Tapas and Webtoon are both open to hosting comics for free, and do not require exclusivity unless you sign a contract with them that says otherwise. Feel free to post on both platforms!

When you don't have a contract with Tapas, you can currently only have one creator publishing the comic and given credit, but there are some ways around this which we do ourselves! 1. Creating a shared account with your co-creator for the comic. 2. Listing individuals after the comic's title or in the comic's credits. Hope this helps!

But how do you get the book cover to the dimensions that it wants?

Many digital art programs can be used to adjust the resolution and canvas size of your cover to one that fits the current requirements on Tapas! We use Clip Studio Paint or Photoshop for the job. Ideally, you'd want to have the dimensions you need ahead of time (940 x 1440) when you are making the image so nothing has to be cropped. Tapas recommends starting at a higher resolution, then shrinking it.

Currently, to lock chapters behind a paywall, you would need to be in the Tapas Premium Program. Another option for revenue, outside of the Premium Program, is Ink Donations.

That said, you may still check what the copyright of a particular series permits, or the laws which you are under regarding copyrighted material have to say about fan works.

If you can't find the dashboard, you may not be logged in as a creator. Do you see a profile picture in the top right? If you're on the app and having trouble finding it, tap on "More" in the bottom right, "How to Publish on Tapas" then scroll down and tap on, "Publish on Tapas." You will then be prompted to login, and you will be able to access the dashboard.

There are apps you can get to compress images, though we typically reduce the size of an image in Clip Studio Paint. In CSP: Edit, Change Image Resolution.

If it still isn't uploading, it may be an issue with connection, or an issue on their side, in which case you can try again on a different day.

Check the file sizes and formats first. Make sure it's a PNG or JPG and fits the upload size. Check your connection with the site next. Refresh the page. If it continues giving you fits after these things check out, try again tomorrow. It may be an issue on their end.
