Hi Rob, I got to your video by mistake but wanted to see what you had to say and see how I could translate this to skateboarding. Turns out I am already doing something similar, practice basic tricks and scale my way up on every session. After I am done with that I am in the zone and can focus on my "music".

Thank you! This actually helped... I am actually trying to play this exact piece but i think it's kinda out of my level because i never really played any snare etudes(not at a genuine high level of expression)... Are there any etudes you would recommend to an experienced drummer who's trying to get into some classical snare?

you could try the cirone book, or john pratt if you're looking for rudimental.
