@Steve E Praying more right now in English the Rosaries. It seems cool or sheik to pray the Rosaries in Latin in public letting people know that there in the know, or superior to the other laymen which is Bologny ! I see this emerging on KZbin . For now I keep the latin to myself and for personal meditation . Haven't been to church in a while kinda disgusted with our Diocese wimpy appoach to the covid-19 ! Gods Peace.

A tip 'of the hat to those that have converted to the Catholic Faith. I'm a cradle Catholic and it has been my observation that converts to Catholicism have much more zeal for the faith than many of us 'born and raised" in the faith. That same observation was also shared by my pastor who just retired after 50 years in the Priesthood. God bless one and all.

Vinnie Evan I’m curious to know why you believe that Mary has such divine attributes to be able to protect people on the earth and why you pray to her as though she can hear you and respond to your prayers? Do you believe that she is omnipresent that she can hear your prayers as well as the prayers of others at the same time? Is she omnipotent that she can perform what it is that you ask of her? This seems strange that you would put other “gods” before the one true God??

Learn my friend, don’t stop and let your heart be open to all that is our Lord and the great gifts he has given us. And yes!!!!! She can hear you too! Just talk to her.

The upside of this pandemic is that I had so much time in my hands that I got to watched you Mr Marshall. I was initially challenged listening to you praying the Our Father in Latin. I turned 79 this January. So some of the words of the Latin Our Father sounded familiar because many decades ago the Mass we attended were in Latin PRE VATICAN ll. So, on my own I wanted to recall the few prayers in Latin. To make my long story short, after less than a year of pandemic . . . I am now reciting the Rosary in Latin except for the Fatima prayer, I Believe in God and Hail Holy Queen which I intend to learn. Thank you so much Dr Marshall for the inspiration. God Bless you.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️👍🏼👍🏼

Italian is the closest to Ecclesiastical Latin in terms of pronunciation, particularly with the soft 'c' and 'g' sounds, as it is the direct descendant, hence why I find it easy to pronounce and somewhat understand. People have told me my Latin sounds Italian, which is fair enough. Knowing Italian (through my parentage) I've always been able to roughly understand and translate Latin phrases and sentences, though not with great precision. I've actually found in recent times that when I hear the chanting of the Gospel, I can get the general gist of it. As an aside, I learned the main Rosary prayers many years ago, and in the last year an a half have been able to recite the Rosary from memory (except for the Mysteries) in English, Italian and Latin. That includes knowing the Fatima Prayer, Salve Regina and St Michael Prayer in all three languages, and have almost memorised the Act of Contrition in Latin. I alternate which language I recite daily- English one day, Italian next day, and Latin the last, before starting over again!

Dr. Marshall, this is when I am glad my first language is Spanish. I should, with a bit of discipline and practice, be able to pray close enough to a decent pronunciation. Thank you for your patience. May God continue blessing you and your family both, in the spiritual and material realms. Congratulations on your anniversary.

Thank you Dr. Marshall for this webinar. I go to a Novus Ordo Mass, I can't make it a Latin Mass. But I'm adding Latin to some of my responses. The Magnificat does have some Latin in it, but this webinar helps me to learn the right pronunciation. I've been waiting for this webinar, and it was all I expected. Do more of these.

Thank you for this tutorial. I used it and in a few weeks I’m able to say the Pater Noster, Ave Maria, and Gloria Patri in Latin from memory. I still need to learn a few more then I might try a TLM Mass. Thanks again!

So glad you did this KZbin as I'ver been wanting to learn the basic prayers of our faith in Latin! Just wondering if you could pray a little slower when you begin and end your KZbins to make it easier for us newbies to pray along with you? Enjoying so many of your other videos. God bless you and your family!!

I was raised in the 50's & 60's but I'm saving these as a refresher. We sang to many in the choir that singing them really helps me. THANKS! I NEVER DID DINNER PRAYER IN LATIN...NICE!

I have heard it said when you sing you are praying twice and I truly believe this 🙏! I was raised as a Catholic in the 50s and 60s and be that as it may thought it was so cool when the mass was changed to English if I knew then what I now know there was NOTHING cool about the change so I desire very much so to re- learn the HOLY CATHOLIC MASS and Rosary in Latin 🤗 who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? With God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Thank you Dr Marshall for all your efforts may you gain many GRACES in heaven!

This was awesome and timely. I pray the Ave Maria in Latin quite often, but my Pater Noster needs work. :) Was cool to see so much interest in this subject. Hope you do more like this in the future!
