Easter 2021: I taught myself to pray the rosary in Latin. Late July 2021: I began attending Latin mass, returning to practicing my faith after 41 years. Traditional Latin Mass strengthens my soul. Novus Ordo predisposed me to erosion of faith over time. I stopped regularly attending mass after leaving grade school at age 14. Holy Ghost led me to the Latin, and to great educators like Dr. Taylor Marshall.

I’m discovering some theology by using the Latin words of the Rosary. For instance, Ventris tui means your stomach. We’ve translated it to your womb which is a valid translation, however, for me it loses the “passing through” aspect of the place. Things pass through the womb. They “vent” through. Our use of the vent root word indicates a passing though, just as Jesus passed through Mary. The term womb is a beautiful term, but it seems to indicate a place of rest and comfort. That is of course true, but the most important aspect I believe is the passing through of Grace into the world via the conduit that Mary provides physically and in obedient supplication. I keep thinking I’m nit picking, but there’s something here.

Thanks for sharing your love for the Holy Rosary and for motivating us to pray and meditate on the life of Jesus in the same language as our Pope St. Peter would have done it.

Thank you very much for making this possible. I will listen every day till I learn how to say it. Your voice is beautiful like tge prayers. May God bless you for doing this. In a world that is so hurtful right now. You give us peace. Greatful. Thank you 😊

In Latin we can come together as one family, as children of Christ, as brothers and sisters, in one voice, in one language, together as one.

I agree..no matter what church you go to..it’s all in Latin..that’s why they are going after the traditional mass..they need us separated divided over language. Deus Vult!

Hearing about your experience, T Marsh, on pilgrimage to a church where you find the Our Father in Latin and everyone in your group prayed the prayer together, madness my heart smile🥰 All I could think of when you said this was when the people were blessed by the Holy Spirit and they were all speaking in different languages but everyone understood each other! Beautiful!!
