This comment is for the youth community. Age doesn't matter unless you want a chance to become pro. But you have to be realistic. If you don't put in the effort it won't happen. Generally the year you start the earlier you learn you're craft. I started riding at the age of 4 on a honda z50. I then went onto ride school boys on 2 stroke 50cc and 65cc. I was sadly not able to into the 80s (85cc thesedays) dispite my ability on the bike due to family funds. I'll never blame my family for not being able to financially support my choice of sport due to the expense. Now I'm older I completely understand how expensive it is to race juniors due to growth of a child and constantly having to buy new gear to fit. Families give up so much for youth to keep racing. If they are able to support you're dreams just appreciate it. The reality is they have given up so much for you to do what you love. I wish i was able to go the whole way but it didn't happen and when i returned to the sport i realised how far behind i was, compared to others that stayed in the sport
