John Doe so this is not approved but my plan is as follows. First p100 filters will work or p100 filters with organic. Both of those are the cheapest most effective. Second my theory is the virus can only live so long on a surface so vac seal it let it sit for two weeks or whatever then reuse so just have enough to rotate.

I would also recommend getting some hand lotion (or heck, shortening will do in a pinch) because washing our hands as often and as long as we should will make them dry and cracked, and nothing likes an open wound more than a germ.

I’ve had great luck using cold water to wash my hands. They don’t get nearly as dried out. It’s the soap that’s important, not the heat. If the water was hot enough to kill germs, it would also kill your cells. Heat for non-porous surfaces, not so much for skin.

We had 6 months of supplies BC (before covid) but we are working our way to 1 year. Imagine if I had told you back in Mar ‘20 that there would still be empty store shelves 18 months later. That seemed hard to believe back then. Oh how times have changed.

Mc Cormick Grill Mates meat spices & marinades make great seasoning additions to soups, chilli, casseroles and rice dishes. You can use the Grill Mates for meatless dishes too, and I just use a generous sprinkle or two. They cost about $1.00 - $2.00 depending on where you buy them. I've tossed cauliflower & carrot pieces with a little Mesiqute seasoning and a tad of olive oil in a zip lock bag, then spread on a baking pan then broil @ about 375 - 400 f. until slightly browned, makes a great snack or side dish. Making fried cubed potatoes, chopped onion and (with or without) a sliced jalapeno with a little Mesiqute & Smokehouse Maple Grill Mate Spices is delicious.

If you don’t put them in properly, they leak. Try the cup out a couple of day of each cycle, at a time that is convenient if you need to clean up a leaky mess. You don’t want to be stressed and down to the wire and fumbling with these and making a mess everywhere while trying to cope. They are helpful once you get the hang of them, anyways. I found that I could not use them without a liner on days 1-2, but after that I was all good.

Preparedness never even crossed my mind, until we had a reservoir water main break in 2018. When the mayor asked us all to conserve water because there was only a two day supply for the community, I freaked tf out. It got fixed before we ran out, but a switch had been permanently flipped in my brain. What was it gonna be next time: the electric company, the grocery store, the hospital? I never even thought about just how dependent I was on the system until that moment. Its been a slow but steady process, and I am determined to be able to take care of my family no matter what happens.

Or if you have a staples, possibly office max some do sell paper towels and toilet paper. Or Walgreen , CVS they have their version of paper towels and toilet paper. It's all about thinking outside of the box.

What is up with you people and toilet paper? A psychologist just wrote an article about people buying up and hoarding so much toiler paper. He basically says people are panicked by the hype. They think it's worse than it actually is. They can accept that just washing your hands is enough for the threat that their over panicked selfs believe it to be. So they think they have to do something more. They see, or hear, about others buying up loads of toilet paper. Not knowing what else to do, but feeling they need to do something more, seeing what others are doing they follow the herd and join in with the toilet paper buying. It's just crazy, people.

Christina C prepping us about slowly buying supplies. Anyone can buy a couple of can goods a week to store up. That’s about $2 for two on sale. In a year you will have over 100 can goods!! Buy extra paper supplies to put into a big bod or under your bed. Cough drops and syrup, Tylenol type of pills fir a fever or pain can be off brands. Juice bottles from the store when empty can be washed and filled with water for stored water. Lots you can do, just think about it and watch KZbin videos. The information is right there.

I cannot tell you how satisfying it is to know that I am not driving all over going to multiple stores for TP, soap, hand sanitizer, food, rice, beans, wipes, etc., etc.! Back when I started prepping in 2011-2012, people told me I was wearing my tin-foil hat too tight! Who's not worried now?? I am able to take care of my family quite comfortably and we are not wanting for anything. And all it took was a little here and there...and extra pack of TP or paper towels when we made a Costco run, a little sweat and hard work to can and put up the contents of our garden for the next year...but I have the satisfaction of knowing my food is not GMO, it isn't filled with pesticides - it's heirloom, healthy, and really tasty, and I can have a clean behind!!!! We didn't really need to go to the store for more than a gallon of milk and some ice cream and that's just because I didn't want to make it! Our chickens provide great eggs, and my freezer is full of meat! Living in the country on our little 15 acre farm and providing for my family has never been more important to me than it is at this moment! I also have the amazing luxury of being surrounded on all sides with farms of like minded neighbors! I tried to share my canning and medical knowledge by making videos many years ago on my YT channel, but back then, it seemed as though only a few thousand were interested...wonder how interested people would be now??? Stay safe...Keep Your Powder Dry!

@St. Petersberg Those of us who have been prepping over the course of years are not the ones out there trying and succeeding in emptying the stores of masks and sanitizers. In reality, we are the ones sitting back and relaxing BECAUSE we already have those stocked up from a few years ago. My masks were from 2001 and my hand sanitizer is hand made from the supplies (alcohol etc.) that I had on hand before all this came down. So, to answer your questions - it is not the preppers who are doing this. It is the people who wait until s**t happens that are the problem.
@leal536
@leal536 4 жыл бұрын
@St. Petersberg No - preppers are those who prepare before s**t happens!! Then, when s**t happens, preppers don't have to panic or go crazy when stocks are low. So, with that in mind, not sure where you are or how things with COVID-19 are there, you better get yourself prepared!

@st. petersburg, if Richard is prepared enough to relax he prepped a long time ago- when the shelves were full and the average Joe had tons of supplies readily available. He is not selfish at all. Those who didn’t prep and are taking up an overwhelming amount of low resources NOW are the problem. Don’t hate because he had a good supply set up BEFORE there was a problem.

Yeah, well, the only people I am truly jealous of as the preppers. Especially the ones that have been doing it for years. I tried, but I was always alone in the process. You know, life! However, I started 2 months ago, and realized I would just have to have the basics. And hope for the best. In spite of the basic I have, I feel great about it. I have my to go bag bugout for travel, my camp gear at 100% my in home stay in bugout box that will go in tandem with camping gear it can toggle between the two. I have been storing at least 4 gallons water daily, meds all up to date n have all needed. Lots of canned food n dry. Etc. And this is just basic. I am exhausted from planning,checking, organizing n buying n trying so hard to have that curve. The physical n mental capacity for this is for the battle ready. Oh yes, have weapons too. N I do not have that kind of money. But, where there's a will there's a way. It just got real. Survivor.

A lot of us are in similar positions; we have known about this, but did not prep for a SPECIFIC thing. We may have guns + ammo and other things, and it is true those can be a more costly thing to buy right now...so that's a silver lining to now have to drop hundreds of dollars and/or do the paperwork depending on your state. I would suggest putting on some good meditation music and "meditating" in your own way, without any distractions or electronics for at least 10-15 minutes a day. It can do a wonder for your mental health, and help you make better decisions with your limited time and money. Take care and God bless you and yours!!

Best advice you gave -'Don't Panic' - keep calm and make a list of what you need and than slowly buy it. At the end of a month you can have a weeks worth of supplies saved, at the end of 4 months, a month of supplies saved up and by years end, 3 months of supplies saved up. Keep calm and don't tell anyone what you are doing or they will come to your house asking for food, water, medicine what have you. Thank you for a great video, start now and you will have 3 months of supplies saved up for any emergency - natural or man made. Keep making these videos, they are quite good.

My family always thinks I’m crazy or overreacting! When hurricane sandy hit NJ I ordered 2 cords of wood, non perishable items, and everything on this list I had been buying extra every time I shopped. My family was very comfortable and warm during the aftermath. Now I’ve told them we live near 3 major airports. I’m 53 and have an immunodeficiency, I can’t do all the things I did back in 2012. My kids seem to forget how bad it can get.

Brother I'm with u and I am very proud of what u are doing for the safety of you n your loved ones. I love your ending with the guns n grab n go bags. It is not extreme but true. There may be the time when humans may behave like the animals we have hiding within us. I always say prepare no matter what cause u never know what might happen. Today is an outbreak tomorrow might be a war n next day a storm never seen before. Humans laugh at everything n trust that they don't even know why they are laughing. The movies n programs give u or show u subliminal messages all the time but no one takes it serious. I'm sad as to what is happening but all we are,are a bunch of pawns in a game of chess. This too shall pass the future ones will b worst. This is the time to b your brother n sisters keeper ..No time to watch race or color. It is time to unite so we can fight the fight together. Thank u brother for taking the time to share. This goes a long way. I can not own a gun because of my country n its laws but I can own a knife n plenty of machetes. U are a truly a survivor n many should take note. May peace surround u n your family n may the universe look over your country n all countries around the earth n all of humanity.

Nice video. My friends and coworkers call me the crazy coupon lady. I'm not so crazy now. I dont have a whole basement full of items but I have a decent amount of things that dont expire and that I use.Toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, trash bags , hand soap, razors, cereal (that shit lasts forever,) pasta , household cleaners (sprays, wipes etc) toothpaste,toothbrushes,deodorant, baby wipes, feminine hygiene, shampoo, and lots of other stuff I paid a fraction of the price for. My boyfriend has the zombie apocalypse items covered. Lotsa guns, lotsa ammo. People laughed at me for couponing. Now they wish they had learned from me. Not only are these items good in this case but they have helped me immensely in the last 3 weeks. I broke my ankle and have been homebound.

@@nana2five790 , greetings from the state of Kentucky! You didn't ask for my opinion but I'll give it I'm a registered nurse at 33 years. Since you have a nebulizer remember to get your atrovent and albuterol and also make sure that you get a steroid inhaler that you can get not actually an inhaler but the steroids that go into your nebulizer and make sure that you're very cautious about that. Make sure that you get methyl prednisone in like one of the little steroid packs that you take a lot and then it decreases that thing. Take that make sure that you have plenty of that stuff and I think if you do those things And you've got the steroids you need and the inhalers and the oxygen for emergency I think you will do fine don't forget when you have a condition like yours everything is going to tighten up you don't want that virus to get in there and then tighten up because it won't let it back out so avoid large crowds like a church ball games just for a few more weeks until you see what's going on. Now I want to be clear about one thing with my post to you I am not a doctor I'm only a registered nurse I cannot give medical advice so for legal reasons I will say you need to check all these things with your doctor! But I believe if you're very Vigilant I think you're going to do fine through this use your head ask Jesus to direct your path and I think that you'll be okay most of the stuff is going to hit within the next month and I don't know why but again Make sure that you have everything ready and Reserve so you can stay at home and care for yourself! I just want to say God bless you happiness and help to you and your family and is always greetings from the state of Kentucky keep going you're going to make it!

On the local website and chat sites I been reading alot of complaints of people hoarding. Remember the Aesop's parable of the ant and grasshopper? People who prepare for disasters (man made or otherwise) is what reasonable people should do in times of plenty. That is not hoarding, it's common sense. What should be illegal is Profiteering. Those are people who buy more than they need to sell at a profit. Those people should be fined or put in prison. To those people complaining about how unprepared they are for this current crisis, they have no one to blame but themselves, bad luck or misfortune. I sympathize with those with bad luck or misfortune, but those individuals who thought it would always be summer and winter would never come, you only have yourselves to blame.

@Christian That is not totally true. The various flues we normally have kill a very small fraction of the population - usually around 0.01% in the US - with the elderly and infants being most affected, especially if they have certain pre-existing conditions. This virus, which is not a flue virus, but the 7th known corona virus, is unique. Two of the corona viruses apparently no longer exist and the other four have rather mild symptoms. This virus does not seem to affect youngsters significantly, if at all. But it is much more virulent to the elderly with pre-existing conditions than all the other viruses, both flue and corona.
