James I have a VP9 Match as well. What do you recommend for a beginner to red dots such as myself? Should I buy something with a larger glass to assist in finding the dot? Or something sleek with a smaller window? Price is not an issue.
@teufelshundtactical4 ай бұрын
When it comes to just about everything in life, buying quality products from an industry leader is preferred over a “budget brand” option. I’ve seen lots of the lesser quality options fail during training. As for size, I like to pair those with the size of the weapon and the requirement. For the Match, it’s a big pistol and one I only use for range/training, so going with a big optic makes sense. For a daily carry pistol, I would recommend sacrificing overall size of the optic for the compactness you desire.

James, what holster are you using for your D3FT, and for the Trijicon SRO on your VP9 Match, which MOA dot is it, and could you explain why you went with that one? Thank you!

The company that made the light pouch is no longer offering them, but if you email me through my website, I’ll give you a contact for a friend who is making a similar example. For the VP9 Match, I’m still looking for a “perfect” holster for my set up. Sir, what is your opinion of the Grayguns modified control lever and sear pin SRT kit? I installed it on my USP compact and USP tactical and haven't had any problems, but don't want show up to a training and make our beloved HK look bad (especially if Glock fanboys might be there). Also, the shirts are badass. Out of thousands of KZbinrs I've seen selling shirts of the years this is the first time I've ever wanted one. They need to make a date code shirt with KG! (first year of Mk 23).
@teufelshundtactical9 ай бұрын
I think the SRT kit is a good upgrade, but only if you are well trained enough to always be going to reset when firing. I walk the line of shooters in each of my courses and see enough fingers coming all the way off the trigger (until we focus on that specifically) to prove to me that most shooters are not getting the benefit of such a kit, especially in a body alarm response type situation, where instead they're drawing as fast as possible and just crashing on the trigger. As for the t-shirts, it's all due to the excellent creativity and support from my buddy Kevin at doworkdorlife.com and yes, he can create that custom shirt for you.

I don’t run streamlight products. You’ll have to check with specific holster manufacturers to find options. Another option is to take the measurements of your light. If it ends up being smaller than something like a X300, you should be able to use a holster designed for the X300.

Indeed. When people are not familiar, comfortable or proficient with hand-held light techniques, and only have a light mounted to their pistol, its just a recipe for failure. That's why our advanced courses, which spend significant time on discussion and practical application of hand-held and then weapon mounted techniques, are so popular.

I have no idea what you are asking. G3 uses the same trigger groups as all of the other roller delayed weapons. Available options were many, and included the SEF as well as Navy. These are commonly found on MP5s.

"Navy" refers to those trigger groups which have the there position (Safe, Semi, Full) pictogram markings and selectors on both sides. A non-ambi housing is not "Navy". As for a left side only selector housing with SEF markings and no thumb rest on a MP5, it is not something I recall seeing.@@3SLXXV
