Training in China is a dream (or at least a goal) for every Wushu addict like me. But once you get there it's going to be hard.
In this video I'm giving you some tips on how to take the most out of the experience while you're there and also when you come back home!
Stay Tuned, ZaiJIan!

Thanks for the advice! I'm heading to Shanghai next month. Are you fluent in Chinese? If not, do you have any advice for learning with the language difference?? Thanks so much!

Hi Rebecca Chin! Thank you for your comment. I studied Mandarin for 2 years, intensively before going to Shanghai, but was far from fluent. I believe I'd learn better being in China rather than taking classes. To answer your question, the first time I was in Shanghai I went with friends that were fluent and the second time I was lucky to meet an Italian friend who trained with us and was fluent. So, yeah, I guess I was really lucky. Not speaking the language will probably hurt the experience since you won't see that many people fluent in English. Hope you have a great time! Cheers

@@mywushuclass579 that's awesome! Did you train with a professional team? If so, how did you get connected with them?

Hey Vasco. You mentioned you got injured. Was it doing wushu? Do you reckon getting injured, hurt, or even sore is part of an athlete career? Are you planning to do a video about this subject too? Cheers!

Hello Manzancene! Thank you for your comment. I think my recent injury was due to accumulated stress in the ankle, which came from practicing Wushu. Absolutely! Injuries and all that you mentioned are unavoidable in an athlete's career. I've talked in a previous video how to prevent some Wushu injuries (see the link below) and it's a great idea to talk about how to manage the situation AFTER you get injured. So, I'll definitely try to make a video about that and ask everyone their opinion on the subject. Thank you for the suggestion. Cheers! kzbin.info/www/bejne/npimaWeqidlrkJI
