I've never seen the wall assisted V sit before. So this video was very informative. I also really like that you included wrist warm-ups.

This came at the right time! I finally got my straight handstand, I was struggling with my position because my back was arched. But I really worked hard to change that and I’m so proud that I didn’t give up! Now I’m working on my flexibility and getting stronger to last more then 10 sec 😁💪🏼

Thank you for sharing all these tips. I'm 49 years old and I just started training to be able to do the handstand, the front lever and the planche. I already have a strong Foundation built with 30 years of weight training and 15 years of yoga so just 10 days in to training these movements I've already made amazing progress. I have to say this is so much more fun and exciting than weight training or bodybuilding. I did powerlifting for many years and achieved a 600 lb deadlift and it really did nothing for me. And in all honesty it's not even really that impressive. But to be able to do a handstand and hold it it's just amazing. I am so grateful that I've taken an extreme liking to this new style of training. It will save me in the long run as beating my body up with heavy weights took its toll and I endured many injuries

Dang... It's like I wrote this! Mid 50s.. power lifted over 30 years. Had a 615 squat at one point. Now, I'm down to 170 (240 lbs at my biggest) and stretch every single day and do calisthenics. Started w/ the muscle up and moved on to handstand and never looked back. It's funny.. I still workout at the gym and pass by the weight room and now, I view it so differently.. a bunch of dudes doing the same thing over and over.. never really truly seeing what their bodies are capable of.. most just ego lifting and not realizing that absolutely nobody cares. Even worse, getting stiff and less flexible every day. I commend you on doing yoga for 15 years while lifting! I wish I had been that wise. I had to do months of stretching (hour a day) to get to where I needed to be and still a ways to go for the harder moves I want to acquire! Had no idea how fun this stuff was and wish I had discovered it back in my 20s! Hope you're still training and making it happen!

The first main thing I personally have learned ,before starting any calisthenics skill,is to have flexibility in our body.Sounds hard, but try it out,by steps, with strict forms, and be patient with your body, because it takes time for our body to process with this moves

I accidentally came across your mobility videos and they impressed me so much that I decided to subscribe to you. And today I found this tutorial, although I was looking for a long time and couldn't find a comprehensive tutorial on the press to handstand. This was the best decision - thanks so much and keep up the good work!

I always wanted to do a press-handstand when I used to do gymnastics, but I was only able to hold my seated straddle.(because I never had a strong upper body) So I'm excited to try this video tomorrow 😊

Not as much strength as you think. It's more technique, assuming you have the flexibility. Do it every day for a few months and it will click!

🙋🏿‍♂️😚😚I don't think I have ever enjoyed watching something so much that I have no intention of ever trying.😜 🤔Maybe some of the warm up and the practice rolls into the seated straddle position for more flexibility.💪🏿💪🏿

uh, sit cross legs anytime ever and put fists nextg to legs and push/rotate up. super easy. not a big deal for a teenager.

That would translate into a stalder press since the leg position is different than a tuck. That approach would be more beneficial for a bent are tuck press or straight arm tuck press
