I love your house style. Looks like a real person/ family’s house instead of a fake Pinterest board.

Hey Rachel. Perfect timing, as usual. I don’t really have a well defined “why” but it’s just the idea that a cluttered room or surface brings on so much anxiety for me. I think it’s because I grew up in a hoarding home. So, now, I spend a lot of time keeping the fridge clear of stuff, laundry done, beds made. This all contributes to my mental peace. Thanks for being a big part of that for me. By the way, your hair is super cute at that length! It’s growing so fast! Take good care, xo Ursula

Our family used to love going to garage sales and flea markets and finding deals and treasures. I think that during my big declutter a couple of years ago, I felt so much shame driving car load after car load to the donation center that it shook me out of the habit of buying in that way. It’s not like that for every type of item but I do think that really allowing yourself to feel the feelings that come up when you declutter can really help prevent us from recluttering.

I've eliminated almost all my books, but I still keep a copy of "Clutter's Last Stand" and reread it once a year. It's really the only decluttering book you need, and it was written almost 40 years ago.

I like your chat style videos. Also, seeing your before and after pictures gives ne hope that I can do that, too! You mentioned Courtney Carver, and her Project 33 helped me declutter my clothing.

I used to drop off at the thrift store and then go buy more stuff. I solved that by having my adult son do the drop off now. Win win for me. The planter on top of the piano looks like your older son, made me laugh when I saw it.

It does! 😂 It's supposed to be Dr. Eggman from the Sonic movies, but to me it looks like Stephen. 😁

Please learn to move your upper arms in these videos. You don’t move above the elbows, which makes for a certain passive look. Raise your arms!
