I wouldn't like it if someone gave me a gift card to the movies with the expectation that i go with them. That's not really a gift then they could just invite me to a movie and say they are paying as a gift. Don't give me a card if i have no choice who i go with.

Rachel, only now heard the news. You were my first contact to minimalism and how to establish routines - thank you so much ❤ As a child of long-term missionaries, just know, there is also a life afterwards. I'm sure you're taking measures for your income for afterwards, as well. Couldn't you leave up the courses on your website as a form of passive income? God bless.

10-23-2024 Dear New Owner of Nourishing Minimalism: Please keep all of Rachel’s videos up. These have been life-changing, and we are here because of all this that Rachel did. It would be an incredibly positive start to promise not to remove these videos.

Please learn to move your upper arms in these videos. You don’t move above the elbows, which makes for a certain passive look. Raise your arms!

This is such a great video!! Thank you so much!! I can SO relate to what you said about our approach to food here. My kids are grown now, but I did the same thing offering rewards of candy or pizza (or whatever) when they did something really special. Or when they had a birthday we’d order a special pizza and I’d make their favorite cake. I thought I was doing pretty well, because I didn’t give them big boxes of candy or order too much pizza so we could “pig out” but what you said about the French not tying food to a reward is showing me I sitill did that! To this day they all want to celebrate with pizza out or a run to the ice cream shop. My oldest is overweight-not by a lot but it is noticeable. My younger son is very thin, but then he’s married to a lovely woman with a PhD in the health sciences-particularly in the area of nutrition, and they DO intermittent fasting! :) Thank you again for making this video. I LOVE your style. You are so relaxing and relatable! And I want to try making those muffins. My daughter and I were just talking about making some muffins and breakfast burritos to have in the freezer for when we need a quick breakfast! 🥰 God bless you1!!!

Yes - after this week, Nourishing Minimalism will no longer be mine, the new owner did not want to take the planner so you will be able to find it on www.lulu.com/spotlight/rachel-jones/ I'm hoping to get the 2025 one available there in the next 2 weeks.

I love that what you said about only needed those three things for water color. Because its true. If you buy high quality, you only need a frw brushes and the basic colors. I took water color in college and got back into it years later because it's so much more practical with storage and space and cleanliness than, pils for example. I love oil painting also, but i had to dedicate an entire corner of my living room to my easel, where as I can just water color on any table I feel like sitting at. Wow this video is so great. ❤

Rachel (are you still there?❤) - I just got rid of about 98% of my childhood toys that my parents had kept. I’m 45. My boys are still little, but they aren’t very interested in dolls. I kept a few, and the rest were either dumped, or cleaned-up and given to a friends little girl. This is a constant struggle to keep decluttering through the mess (bought my parents home and getting rid of their stuff has fallen into me and my husband). I really do keep coming back to your videos for help. God bless.

Thank you! this is a much better system! :) I have a filing cabinet with 30 files I would like to downsize.... like group things together...monthly bills I pay versus having 5 files to put back in cabinet, and the house, auto, liability insurance(3 more files) and medical all in one drawer I like this. Tax stuff as well. PERFECT!!!🤩Thank you!

“Taking a look at ourselves, what we want out of our lives and then releasing all the things that don’t help us do that, that don’t help us live that way or accomplish the things that we want to. Look at all the stuff you have in your home that support all these different ‘variations’ of you. Is that stuff helping you with your ultimate priorities?” Focus on the things you really want to do right now. So, I also understand that every time you/I saw that stuff just sitting there it was shouting at you/me and probably made you/me feel bad about yourself/myself - no one needs that pressure. Glad you were able to let-stuff-go. As I age I struggle with my “previous” self. I loved living in the country, raising horses and my children, but made the decision to leave the “place I loved” (marriage I didn’t) for the safety of myself and my young children and moved to the city. I always thought/hoped I would be able to return to that kind of life when the children were grown, but had to accept the fact that that kind of life would be too difficult for me now. A few years ago I sold my English saddle and boy was that a struggle as it brought up memories (not all bad) but I had to feel the pain, accept the disappointment and continue to become content with my life. I realize daily that I have so much to be thankful for.❤

Hi Rachel, thank you for leaving your videos up! I just watched "Embracing Minimalism Begins With Changing Your Focus" - lots of great food for thought in this video. It inspired me to think about the "why" of putting in the effort to attempt minimalism (still a long way to go!) Much thanks! 😃

Constructive living. Despite how l feel...l ask, now what needs doing? I am healing from trauma. So steps is all l can do right now. But each day l see, clear it, clean after..maintaining. l will get cleaners in just to do the floors/skirts and tiles. I need that help. Then l can maintain.
