Do people who don't get mosquito bites - like me, thankfully - have the same blood type lice aren't so attracted to?
@charlenetombar65235 ай бұрын
Can you tell us the blood types that the lice love❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@myliceadvice44035 ай бұрын
Some studies suggest that lice prefer Rh positive blood types (such as A+, B+, O+ etc.), but that doesn't mean that if your kiddo is Rh negative that they can't or won't get lice, lice just aren't as attracted to them. It's similar to how mosquitos are attracted to some people more than others and it can be for multiple reasons.

I stayed with my boyfriend a couple of days ago. When we woke up to brush our teeth he noticed lice in his hair. Turns out he got it from his little nieces. I slept next to him all night and I wore his clothes… I’ve been checking my hair and so far I’m good but now I’m kind of paranoid😭 I’m good now but how long should I keep checking? I regularly spray rosemary tea in my hair so I feel like that may help but I’m not sure. What else can I do?

If you're feeling worried about it then I'd recommend is getting a metal lice comb and just combing through your hair with it. If you picked up lice from him then you'll comb out out least one bug. If you find that you have lice, then I'd recommend going to my website and getting rid of it. MyLiceAdvice.com

This has been the most helpful video. How do you do your own lice check?
@myliceadvice44032 жыл бұрын
Glad it was helpful! Checking yourself for lice can be difficult to do, so if you can find a friend that'll help you then follow along with this video myliceadvice.com/how-to-check-for-lice-video-tutorial/ But, if you can't find anyone to help you then I'd recommend purchasing a $10 metal lice comb and combing through your hair with it and seeing if you comb anything out. If you have head lice then when you comb through your hair you'll have a bug come out when you're combing. Here's a good comb on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Nit-Free-Terminator-Lice-Comb/dp/B000HIBPV8/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=nit+free+terminator+lice+comb&qid=1643399946&sprefix=nit+fr%2Caps%2C127&sr=8-5

I just found out that my son's friend had lice eggs in her hair. They were playing today. What should I do now?
@gaskhalil21425 ай бұрын
Lice eggs don't transfer, it's the living lice that do, so before the living lice can lay any eggs and the case gets worst treat it and use a bit comb just in case, do a weekly check for your son too cause that means the girl still has lice so check if he gets anything from her

ok so but my whole school has lice because this girl in my class has it and she hangs out with everyone and her brothers and sisters have it and they hang out with everyone too.
@myliceadvice44032 жыл бұрын
That's a super tough situation. There are a lot schools that are basically infested with head lice, especially since lice are immune to the typical treatments that people used to use. In that situation I'd recommend doing the following: Wear you hair up in a tight ponytail or braid at school, spray your hair with a lice prevent spray with tea tree oil or peppermint, don't hug people or do other things where you'll be head-to-head. -Theresa, My Lice Advice

Also, buy a Wood's Lamp and use it in a dark room. The eggs will glow white! Do not look directly into the light. Wear protective goggles

CAN'T LICE JUMP!?
@myliceadvice44034 ай бұрын
Great question. Head lice do not jump. Head lice legs are designed more like crab legs, so they can grip onto things and they can crawl really well, but they can't jump. If you're finding something that is jumping then it's more likely that you're dealing with fleas.
