The first time I got my own puppy in my 20s, I learned very quickly not to chase after them. You sit calmly and and clap your hands and call them. If they’re running around outside where they have more freedom, I call them and I run away from them so they follow me. It’s the quickest way to get your puppy. 🐶 And you’re teaching them You are the leader and they are to follow.

I had a rescue Staffy who’s party piece in the first few years was to eat pairs of folded socks and then regurgitate them up. We were continually on sock watch, but she grew out of it. Once she became my running buddy she stopped eating socks and lived to the ripe old age of 19 years old and ended up being the most loyal dog I ever had. RIP Suzie, my gorgeous girl ever.

If you are lazy or have a busy life please don't get a dog because one of the most important activities for a dog is exercise. Cesar has told us more than a thousand times but we don't listen and choose to make the dog's life a living hell and blame the dog. 🤕🥲🥲

Super sweet family but they have no discipline. First, chose the wrong dog, second, zero effort to keep the house free and clear of objects, and they talk to the dog in full sentences like hes human. They just rinse and repeat the same thing day after day. Its not the dogs fault. They created it and the dog is smarter and rules them. You cant have a good dog if you dont put in the time to raise and train a good dog. She worries about the socks but yet socks are always available! How hard is it to keep your socks where they belong?

It was terrible behavior of this family and on top of that prison in a small cage, in the cage of this poor dog. Complete chaos in the mind of this dog. They didn't know why they took this dog if they didn't take care of it. After all, a dog has to run. I had an Irish setter, a hunting dog and together with my parents we would go with him to the forest, to the meadows so he could run. It's healthy for the body and soul of every dog. In this film you can see the frustration of this dog but Cesar helped and showed how to act so that everything is as it should be, an animal is not a toy and especially not a human being. Although it is a soul like all of us, we only got different bodies according to our merits or failures in a previous life. Bravo Cesar!😊

W tym filmie widać frustrację tego psa ale Cesar pomógł i pokazał jak działać żeby wszystko było jak należy, zwierzę to nie zabawka a tym bardziej nie czlowiek. I get that it's irritating, but this is what you get when you decide on a dog breed based on trends or the dog's "cute" appearance, rather than on the reality of that breed's requirements, both for mental & physical stimulation. Are there calm goldendoodles? Sure. But there's way more doodles that are off-the-charts.

Unless you have owned a hyperactive dog, you have no right to criticize this family. They had no idea the puppy was going to be hyper. They hired a dog trainer who couldn't get the dog under control. They are a wonderful, normal family who lost their beloved dog and just wanted another dog. Very few dogs are this hyper. I know. I"m in my 70's. I've owned several dogs in my lifetime and I've been around hundreds. My mother taught me years ago that if you couldn't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Many of these comments are from self-righteous know it alls. They need to hire a personality trainer to teach them grace.

I rescued a one-year-old Doodle who was way too much for the family. The day I brought him home he ran by and swiped the hat off my son’s head. I wish we had learned a bit more about them, as we sometimes do in Cesar's shows. The kids seem well adjusted - so they must have had rules boundaries and limitations. I could not help but wonder what the husband and wife do, and if they have careers the require calm assertiveness; or maybe the don't work much and had a big inheritance. Just curious as they were not the norm, and I could not quite place them.

I will never understand why people will get a dog that is a mix between two extremely active energetic breeds and then be shocked when they constantly terrorize the home. I can’t tell you the number of foreign body surgeries I have seen on labradoodles, golden doodles, Aussiedoodles, and any other doodle you can think of. And probably half of those surgeries we remove a sock. I once had a labradoodle that was about to be spayed and as we were starting to give drugs to relax her she vomited a wash rag into my lap. Nobody in her family even knew the dog had eaten the rag. This same dog has had 2 foreign body surgeries since the rag incident. Every time her family brings her in they talk about her energy and isn’t there something they could give her to calm her down. Yes you could give her some of your time and something to do to burn energy and that will calm her better than drugging her. I really feel sorry for the dog and all the other dogs in her same situation. At least this family is trying to find a way to help the dog and not just drugging him or getting rid of him like a lot of people do.

With my own dog, i would not use a choke- or neck collar when cycling because it would slip a bit down her neck and then she would pull so hard that she damages her trachea, but I leaned that dogs are build different in this respect and for other dogs this may well be no problem at all. For cycling I actually do use a dog harness (which I no longer use for ordinary walks - thanks to Cesar's example), but, as a consequence, my dog will go all out for the first half a kilometre and that could be pretty dangerous if I'd try in an urban area (I am cycling at places with virtually no traffic). This is just to say that individual dogs may need different approaches to safely run besides a bicycle, and for me and my dog it was definitely more of a learning curve than what is shown on this video.
@kimberlymiller82742 ай бұрын
Taking your dog jogging with you is good, but with cycling, your dog can get exhausted much more quickly than you, leading to overheating and total exhaustion. The dog can't stop because you don't. Please be careful. I was always was taught to NEVER bicycle with your dog.
@paulveenvliet91302 ай бұрын
@@kimberlymiller8274 there is no problem as long as you use common sense (for instance don't cycle in hot weather) and respond to the behaviour of your dog.
