I've watched 4 videos this morning and this was the best. I want that heat press and t-shirt guide. Can you tell me where can I find it?

Thanks! We’re so happy we could help out. We used the 16x20 Hotronix Auto Clam and the Hotronix 360 IQ cap press. You can find them both here: www.transferexpress.com/heat-presses

Thanks for this! Helped me with my adult long sleeve sizing… Any suggestions on long sleeve print sizing for youth shirts?
@transferexpress
@transferexpress Жыл бұрын
We're always happy to help! That's a great question, For youth print sizing it depend on the garment and size (it's always best to measure if you have a shirt on hand) but we've had great results 1.5" x 7 or 8" works well!

You're welcome! We're so glad we could help out. Many of the same principles for sizing apply here: Size for the platens or printing area you have and any restrictions on the garment (pockets / seams / etc). We have a great guide (and a downloadable cheat sheet) here: www.transferexpress.com/design-sizes

Stahls/TE needs to design platens for youth apparel. Nor the tag-along or leg/sleeve are suitable for the smaller sizes. That even goes for adults small and medium. The dual sleeve platen needs a complete redesign as it isn't suitable for sleeves with tight cuffs unless you want them stretched out.

That’s a great suggestion and something we hear often! A youth-sized tag along would be pretty sweet too! We’ll talk to Hotronix and see what we can do

We don't sell this exact example, however we do have a full display pack filled with similar examples that can be used as great examples to customers, we call it the "travelling showroom" or "t-shirt business in-a-box": www.transferexpress.com/marketing-tools/easy-prints-marketing-kit

What’s the standard height of a name on a short sleeve shirt? What if it’s a long name and have to fit it at 3” width? Do you make different length names of a team the same height?
@transferexpress
@transferexpress 6 ай бұрын
Great question! Whenever printing names, it's best to lock all of them to a common height, as the length of names change based on the amount of characters. Choosing the right font can really help too and make it look more impactful constrained by the smaller print location of a sleeve, and the height of your text will vary based on what you choose. There's a few things you can do: 1. Set the longest name to 3" wide and find the height and keep all other names to the same height. 2. Lock the height to something around 0.5"-.75" high (depending on the font and longest name) and condense any name that is wider than 3" 3. Use our team builder in our Easy View Online Designer and set the max width to 3" (you dont need to add a full layout, you can add just text) it will automatically condense longer text as needed as well as the ability to easily select different fonts to see which one looks best for your project. @@transferexpress Thank you. So, is the recommended max height 0.75”? I wasn’t sure if anything smaller than 1-1.5” would be too small.
@transferexpress
@transferexpress 6 ай бұрын
It really depends on the font and the longest name you have on the roster, unless you condense it to fit

NEVER decorate your sleeves upside down when it is a LANDSCAPE print!!! When you cross your arms both Sleeves should read left to right, right-side up. I see so many where one sleeve is upside down when people cross their arms... In the Tattoo world that is a major NO NO... If the TEXT is a vertical copy running down the sleeve, this is not applicable. McNair Signs & Graphics, Est. 1959 We still have one of the first Hotronix Heat Presses Stahls ever built...

What direction do you make writing? Do you put it shoulder down or from sleeve up?
@transferexpress
@transferexpress 8 ай бұрын
That's a great question, and a hotly debated topic. The general rule is that normally text should read top-down. Where this gets complicated is the left sleeve and you would essentially place the text to be read bottom-up, so if the wearer extends their arms straight out in front of the them, the text would be oriented correctly. It does depend on the customer preference, specific artwork and other placements on the garment.

@transferexpress yeah there is alot of suggestions out on the internet.. .. I'm just making my soccer team sweatshirts with the word "Tigers⚽️ " But I can't seem to figure out if both sleeves should have it facing from shoulder down on both or switched..... or if the soccer ball should be before the T or at the end..
@transferexpress
@transferexpress 8 ай бұрын
If it were up to us, the soccer ball after the word, with the "T" on top for the wearers right sleeve or on the bottom for the left sleeve. Mocking it up can help you or your customers decide too, ensuring the perfect finished product!
