Hi mate Another great video. Just on the point of floor mats. I have a setup where they are clipped onto a vertical stand, when doing initial hard brush gravity does most of the work.....saving loads of time.

turn all the car mats upside down and run a house vacuum cleaner over them. the brushes vibration loosens all the dry dirt and you can see the outline of the mat when you pick it up. next turn it right side up and vacuum again.

My brother always said............You get what you pay for!!!!!!!!!!! And Quality doesn't cost it PAYS!!!!I believe I share your emphasis on doing it right or not at all. I worked as a detailer at a local carwash owned by a Farmer who inherited money and splurged on a carwash. He uses it as a sponge....sucking money out and hardly investing anything in. I worked under a chap who really tried to bring structure into the car detailing side of things and we were achieving great things. Alas Farmer Jones would not listen to our suggestions for improvement even when customer's complained about been trapped in car wash at 2.00am in the morning!!!!The Police had to rescue them. Thus my supervisor left and I was not far behind. Point I am making is that some people (actually many people) just don't understand why their car turns into a mess on wheels. Plus they get very upset when you tell them how much it will cost to fix their mess both inside and out. One older chap expected a hand wash and detail for $20!!!!! I HATE interior cleans for that reason. One car resembled a Chinese takeaway along with the smell but got upset because we spent a whole day cleaning it and charged her $300 with two of us working!!!!! That's all she pay. Lesson learnt. Then there is the paint!!!! Under gum trees, covered with bird manure. Wonder why my paint is stuffed and can you polish that out???? Again they baulk at cost. So yes so appreciate everything you say and how your videos illustrate these issues. More people need to watch them. Wishful thinking!!!!

Excellent idea with the manual and procedures booklet. I really liked the inspection section with the overview of the car as well. I have been looking to create something very similar as far as a procedure manual much like yours. Would you possibly post a link somewhere or do an in depth video of your manual? Id love to see it to give me some ideas for my business. Well Done mate!

Good stuff Sandro...I'm not a fan of the forms and use my camera to document my inspections and any damaged areas....Mate I'd be buying a table with folding legs and getting those mats from ground level. I've found it easier and more comfortable doing it that way...But each to their own...And be very careful with those Vikan brushes on interior clear coats. If you use dry, shine a light on afterwards you will see what I mean...Those brushes leave micro scratches that are not visible until a light or sun shines on them...That's my experience yours may be different.
@davespeedee7 жыл бұрын
If you sprayed those mats with a pressure washer or hose, would soap start to suds? I don't see a rinse phase of the cleaning process.
@5jjt7 жыл бұрын
Remember, any cleaning residue remaining on the carpet will pull dirt off people's shoes, thus making the carpet to get dirty faster.

Hi Sandro, How did you end up tackling the damage on the steering wheel? My own Mazda 3 MPS 2008 has some damage right at the top where some gloss has come off due to work related chemicals that stayed on there, and when I washed it off it took off the shiny gloss, and now its rough and matt black in that area..

Hi Sandro, another awesome vid, as always. I'm slowly making my way through all of them haha. Awesome video! I have a question, what do you suggest for cigarette smoke? I work at a car rental company and recently two of our vehicles have been smoked in and they smell awful. Ty
@SecretSauceyjuice6 жыл бұрын
Purchase a high quality ozone generator and leave it in there for 15-20 minutes if the smell is still present after cleaning. Do not leave it for longer than the minimum necessary as it is not great for the surfaces of the interior. Also, don't sit in there while it's on.

You guys charge money for every single thing you do. a full detail is a full detail. I can't stand detailers that do that. I charge one price. evaluate the car and do every single thing that is needs. inside and out. a nice car takes me 7 hours no short cuts here. cars that are in bad shape take alot longer.
@gary00507 жыл бұрын
I do not own a car wash nor would I ever recommend a person go to a car wash for a 50 dollar hack job.
@gary00507 жыл бұрын
I wasn't wasn't talking about you what I meant was some guys charge for every single breath they take on things they should be doing for their customers anyway, when doing a full detail. I am sure you seen how some detailers take people of the coals for sub par work. I did enjoy your video. I have been doing this for 20 years but watch and read as much as I can there is always something to learn to provide better service to my customers
@gary00507 жыл бұрын
It's some of the other commenters . I wanted to send some work to another detailer the other day because I was too busy. When I asked him if he would take some he said ya I'm all about that money. I didn't send him the work. That was the wrong answer to me. We all like making money but he should also love what he is doing and do the best possible service he can.
