This looks a lot like my friend's old Genie unit. I picked up a Genie Universal Keypad GUK-BX (part # 41249R), after Genie assured me this is the keypad we need for this. However, I cannot find anything in the instructions that help me pair this with the unit. Can you tell me how to pair the Genie Universal Keypad with this unit?

I have an old Sears unit, like from the 70's maybe & it does not have a program button,... I saw "code" tabs in the remote & the remote did work but now it doesn't & I don't know how to re program it. As I said, it was working & nobody changed the codes, the battery is new & the light on the remote lights up when I hit the button but the door won't open :(

just change the order on the opener then change the new remote to it. That way the old remote won't work.

I think I have the same motor. But unfurtunatly I dont have manual. Can U help me how to connect reciver to the Genie motor. Reciver have 3 Wires and Genie motor have 5 Contacts. Thanks for help

If it’s the same model it should have DIP switches. I honestly don’t know of any Genie openers with 5 terminals let alone how to program it. Sorry. Try googling it with your model number, you should be able find it there.

If the opener has DIP switches, follow the steps I showed in this video. If your opener has a learn button, push the button of the opener, then push the remote button 3 times. Then it should be programmed.

I think these dip switches were phased out because of the ease of breaking into the garage with a device called a code grabber. the newer systems are called rolling code in which the code changes each time the opener is activated with the remote. because of how a rolling code opener system works, they are harder to break into with a code grabber.
