My wife bought a chipped key blank for our 2012 GMC Acadia online for about $9. I took the blank to Ace hardware, they cut it for me AND programmed it with their printed out directions. A total, MAYBE, of 30 seconds. It worked like a charm. I am trying to figure out the discrepancy between what you had to do, and what they did.😕

It sounds like they were able to use the "Add A Key" procedure instead of the "All Keys Lost" that is shown in the video. If you have at least 1 working key you can use the add a key procedure, it only takes about 15 seconds to complete. I just boght a a new module and replaced the old one and they told me to do this process but when I tried this the security light never turned on once

After 3 tries, still won't start. Followed directions exactly...using freshly cut key from dealership. Even installed a new battery to ensure it has the juice to do the job. I'm stumped.

2011 Acadia: I lost all keys and key fobs. The local dealership made me a new key. When I unlocked and entered the car the alarm activated. Can I do this while the horn is blowing? Is there a way to deactivate the alarm so I don't disturb the peaceful neighbors?

Pop that hood and disconnect the horn with the quickness 👍

There is a switch on kick panel by left foot. Flip it to upnor down what ever way it is move it to opposite then what it is sitting at now. That shuts off alarm

This is right...but it's also wrong. This is IF you have a new key and want to make THAT key to be the MASTER key. If you want to program new keys, simply put in your old key, turn until the security light goes OFF. Here's the trick...Take the old key out and WITHIN 3 SECONDS put the new key in and wait until the security light goes off and BAM! New and old key works! Also, this only works with 2011 and newer. Not the older models.

You can try just continuing the procedure by the time. If that does not work, there may be an issue with the key you are using
