Thank you for pointing out the number of time you have to press the remote key for different brand of garage opener at 22 second mark. Unfortunately, I lost the manual. Genie requires 6 presses

Yesterday I had to install a new logic board and I could not get one of my universal remotes to program correctly. I push the button to light the blue light on the remote, then pushed the purple learn button. When I tried to program the remote button, the blue light would go out after pushing the right or left button just once. I could not get it stay on until the third push. I ended up removing the remote battery for 5-10 seconds, re-installed the battery and the remote programming process started working as normal. All is well now.

Can't even recall where / how I got this one little garage door remote opener... But it's got the 'coin-battery' on the inside, & it contains 2 main activator buttons at the top portion of the device, & then the bottom section contains just 1 single button as well as this panel of 12 itty bitty little switches with the very 1st switch (1) labeled with 'on' above the number 1... & then numbers 2 -11 are just labeled numerically with the 12th switch containing, just like number 1's 'on', shows the letters: "KE" above the 12... I wonder how exactly I'm supposed to go about syncing it up to use with my older craftsman opener..I'm pretty sure I USED to have it programmed at one point just fiine but I can NOT recall how I actually did it ...

On the opposite side of the switches is there a little black circular button? ( it would be under the cover if you have the cover on

I followed the instructions but still not working. Wonder if the garage door opener is broke. Initially it worked fine then the remote had to be pushed multiple times for it to open then it stopped working completely. The remote works for our second garage door opener

Sometimes the receiver in the units stops receiving and you need a new board or new unit at that point

Check if there are any LED lights in the opener or around the opener. Those can affect the range for sure

Correct, it is a very good chance your receiver is dead on the logic board if it’s not taking. Do you have any other remotes or keypads that do work ?

Uh-huh.... What if you have a Doorkeeper garage door opener? There are NO buttons on that unit. The remote we have is a Genie; so, there MUST be a way to do it.

For a unit that old you likely have the dip switches? In which case you would be looking for those, matching the sequence on an older clicker remote that still has the dip switches and programming from there but there are a lot of variables here I just can’t guide you one way or the other without seeing it 🫤

You need to erase and reprogram It so they’re only programmed to the one. Did you use the same button on the remote control for both doors ?

Is the lock on ? On your wall control there’s a lock button you want to hold it for about 3 seconds

I have a Marantec 370 which does not have any colored button on the opener. Both my remotes are kaput, so I bought a universal (Chamberlain) but without the colored button, I do not know what to do. We unfortunately ( maybe fortunate for us haha ) don’t run into many marantec openers. Your best bet is to try to locate a manual online

Every video always shows just programming ONE BUTTON! But never the second door button. When we have tried to program the second door, then both doors open together and shut together. @@GarageDoorGuidance We are using a Chamberlain but I think we’ve ascertained that the doors are too old to be compatible and the circuits aren’t working properly. The doors opening and shutting on their own is really puzzling and a real problem! And even the one while it was locked!! She thought that someone else’s must be opening it but we don’t know. She’s going to purchase new openers now. Thank you for responding.

I watched this video, confidently went to the Home Depot and bought two double clickers for my two garage doors.
