Just a tip for everyone trying this. Mine wouldn’t work with the lock button no matter how many times I tried. I decided to try the unlock button with this same process and it worked! Don’t get discouraged trying the lock button.

Thanks, this is accurate and works for one key. For those that want to program multiple keys, the steps here are correct, you just need to add the Driver # button on the door in between the ignition key and the key fob click. For example, ignition key to second position, click driver 1 button on the door, then click the key fob. Repeat this 4x. Then for Driver #2, repeat the whole series for the Driver 2 button and second key fob. Hope this helps. My vehicle is a 2006 MDX.

@@jq-10: I'm curious...WHY is there a Driver 1 and Driver 2 BUTTON on the DRIVERS door. Is this for keeping seat placement, Mirror adjustments, separate controls for preferred temperature, etc. To enable each DRIVER not to have to make adjustments every time they drive or something like that??? I have a 2000 Acura 3.2 TL; therefore, I'm assuming this "set-up" is only on the newer model Acura vehicles or any model "after" Gen 2000???? lol

For anyone wondering : use the lock button while syncing the remote. Once you hear the initial click press the lock button again then the unlock before turning off the ignition. Turn off the ignition and remove the keys and it should work. Thanks for the video!

I had to watch another video and it worked. Maybe cause you forget to mention that you have to press the lock button everytime you turn ignition on and within 4 seconds press lock of the other remote (if you have one) and both are programmed..

I have 2005 TL and I lost the original key fob so I am now using one I bought from ebay, the flip folding remote key fob type. Joseph Coleman you have to with the other fob do the same process hold the unlock button and the lock button on your keyless and it should engaged

Joseph Coleman I'm sure you figured it out by now but once you program a new key fob you have to re-program all key fob together because it will erase all othe fob memories.

Hi nice video will it also work for a 2001 nissan maxima. One more question my brither bought a 2002 honda cr-v 4wd from an auction. The car does crank but doesn't turn over. The battery is brand new from autozone. The starter I hear is clicking and I also hear the fuel pump clicking. One strange thing is that the tachometer fluctates when I turn the key to start the engine. Plz help with your informtion. I can make a video as well to show what it does.

omer pasha If the car cranks then you have two things to check - spark and fuel. I'd first check if there are any trouble codes. Then check if there's spark. Check out a spark plug tester and go from there.

Mines stop working along with my high beam,turn signal,low wiper setting and one of the windows after i fixed the positive terminal on my battery so the fob programming steps didnt work at first.All of the fuses were good.It got fixed when i temporarily removed both terminals from the battery for a few minutes and put them back.I got this tip from a acura forum.I was able to program the fob afterwards.

I have 2006 acura tl and I believe your car and my car have the same feature. Put your key in ON position and look for a KEYLESS REMOTE menu on the cluster display under fuel and temperature gauge. You can set it as you want there. For me, I wanted it to beep when I unlock or lock, but it does not beep as it should lol..

or easy just hold the unlock and the lock button for a second or two and the led light should blink once meaning its conected if it blinks twice it means it got disconnected trust me i read the manual

Before completing the steps in this video, my remote worked. It would lock and unlock my car. I was not able to enter the remote customization menu and was getting an error message saying that the remote must be linked first.
