i absolutely love this remote... by default, the cab-sat function works with comcast xfinity set top boxes. In addition, the shape of the remote and the button arangement make this my favorite remote ever.

This post is addressed to "Folsom Photo Studio", with hopes that I'll get a prompt reply. I do thank you for the concise & easy to follow tutorial. However, upon completion of the process, I had to admit that it did not program my Polaroid Remote Control(RC-201) to my Polaroid 42" Flat Panel TV(TLX-04244B) & the point I found most perplexing, is that the TV & RC were bought together. So I really don't understand why a person would ever need to re-program the two. Anyway, I don't know if there's anything you can do to help me, but it seems there would be a way to manually enter the code for my Polaroid (TLX-04244B) & I would like to try that before throwing in the towel. Thanks in advance for any consideration you give my request.

I know this is really an old video, and I don't know if I'll get a reply, but I sure need one. I am trying to get the power button to turn the tv on and off. My steps are: Press TV button Hold set up button until it flashes Press '9' twice Press '1' once (NOTE: does not blink twice) Press '1' Press 'power' Press channel up until device (TV) turns off (it does not turn off; it changes the channels....) Press and hold set up until it blinks Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!

I broke down and bought an RCA universal remote. It's cheap and it auto-searches for your tv's codes. Simple instructions. Well worth the few bucks. And I will never buy another Polaroid product again. They never bothered to answer any of my emails requesting some help. Good luck, T Pose!

What I don't get is why this remote will not turn my TLX-04244B TV on or off in spite of pushing buttons/entering codes 800-fifty-leven times... does everything else correctly though. Ready to put it in a bench vise for "further education."

Aug. 15, 2020 Good effort making the video, but after three attempts over a 3 hour period; counting 105 button presses, I can say with confidence this technique no longer works. New batteries in the same remote in the video. The remote was lost in the couch for months... a hamster found it and when we found him there was the remote. We should probably just replace the TV instead of replacing the remote control. It is 2020 after all. : /
