The skill/strength split seems to work best for me. Strength workouts exhaust the CNS a lot more, so alternating strength and skill days helps with recovery (at least in my experience). Great video as always, Gabo! 💪

Great video, Gabo. It's a topic that get's into the mind of calisthenics practicioners rather quickly, but not one that get usually addressed in much videos. I'd love to see this turn into a series of videos on how to focus on statics, dynamic, mixed, skills. Keep that content coming. Regards from México.

Hello, brother!!! Since we are only focusing on the academy and we don't have time to make videos more constantly on KZbin. We have the SM Academy where We have a step to step program for every handstand goal including strength, flexibility, and mobility. Besides that, we are also offering programs for Yoga, Calisthenics, Mobility, Nutrition, Meditation, etc with an amazing Facebook private community where we help each other achieve our goals :) Not to be salesly, but you have nothing to lose since we have a free limited access to the academy on this link ► ► bit.ly/2AYIFQP It won't take you a long time just to check it out ;) Hope to see you there. With love, - Fabian

Hello, first, thanks a lot for all those advices ! ❤️ Second : I organize my training by doing 2 PPL a week. Push : ( 3 times each ) tuck planche, hspu negatives with a wall, ring dips, pseudo PU. Pull workout is the same, Front lever, pullups, rows, active Lsit hanging. I was wandering if instead of a second PPL in the week, I should preferably focus on my basic strengh with dips, pullups, and isolation : pellican curls, triceps pushups, dumbell shoulder planche training. I don't know what is better. Thanks !

Greasing the groove as you call it needs a bigger audience. Really is no excuses for no exercise, except injury. Apply this technique for one week and see the difference in how much you actually do. It will open your eyes Cancel the gym memberships unless swole is the goal, you can fit in short burst through out the day and reap the rewards

Gabo, I have 2 questions out of the video topic if you don't mind. 1- Why 20 pull ups is a prerequisite before OAPU training? I have read because this number will ensure conditioned tendons but I don't understand how high reps which is endurance build tendon strength. 2- I want to start streching and there are many many streching positions for one muscle, so is it enough to use one strech for the muscle I want to strech? Are there better streching positions than others? How many sets should I do, the rest, the frequency? I literally don't know anything about how to program flexibility! Can you tell me what are the skills that require good flexibility except for HS press to be specific with flexibility! Thank you!
@SaturnoMovement
@SaturnoMovement 6 жыл бұрын
1. I disagree with 20 pull ups being a pre-requisite itself but it is a good indicator that you have enough pulling strength to train for OAP. It is a correlation, not a causation tho. many others factors into play here. 2. Too many questions man haha will do a video about best time to stretch, frequency ect. for now, focus on 1-2 stretches per muscle group and you should be fine. Put more attention on your tightest areas and on the ones that will help you achieve your desire skills. Skills that required flexibility: -Handstand and all its variations. (Scorpion, Hollow backs etc) -All HS presses. -Lsit, vsit and manna. -Air baby -All straddle moves will be easier (Straddle planche for example)

Could you do a video on building muscular endurance along with muscular strength? Part of my goal is to be able to preform high strength skills as well as high rep feats of strength. And to de this with putting as little muscle mass as possible would be amazing. I am just confused because hypertrophy is inevitable but I want to minimize it. Thanks Saturno, love love love these videos.
