I have an ICB3 "Smoother" it only has 4 labeled buttons 1-4 but has 2 unmarked "hidden" buttons in the middle for a total of 6. Currently it does small and large smoothie and 3-4 are low and high pulse. Do you know much about that style and if I can change program modes using button 4 as the "p" button?

Hello, thank you for the video, I have an older ICB3D version Blendtec smoother (2005 version,, 5 pin) which was given to me. I cannot find a user manual for it ! can you help ? The blender only has a -Single (1) and a Multiple (2) button as well as a Lo and Hi pulse button. Thank you for your help

Hi Gabriel, Thanks for the comment. It sounds like you have a second hand machine where the button layout was customised. Starbucks used to order their blenders this way although, now they use Vitamix. Even though the touch pad shows only 4 buttons, it's very likely that underneath the sticker, it actually has the full 6 buttons. If you imagine there are 6 buttons on the touchpad, you should be able to control the machine as normal. First though, you might need to restore it factory settings by pressing 5-2-1 in quick succession. Thanks a lot, this will help me configure my Q-series Blendtec ABC3/ICB3. It has the sound enclosure shield. Do you perhaps know which jars fit on my blender? It came with 2 jugs that both go up to 32 Oz. Can I fit other jars on this? Like the fourside jar / twister jar / wildeside jar? Or is my blender model too old?

Hi and thanks for the comment! The old way of custom programming involved using some Blendtec software and having your blender connected to your PC via a 5 pin programmer. I think the software and hardware support for custom programming the 5-pin version is now obsolete but you could reach out to Blendtec's Customer Services and ask if they are able to support on this. I would suggest you use the pre-programmed settings and get as close as possible to what you need (Q-Series, ABS, Smoother) and I have a video on how to do that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rn_HoZyFjqpsptE All the best Adam

@@louissegal4629 hey there. My understanding is that Blendtec discontinued the software some time ago, you used to be able to download it from their website as a desktop app. I would suggest getting in touch with them directly to enquire. Sorry I can't help further.

Hey Joseph, thanks for the comment! If you have a Connoissuer 825 or SpaceSaver 825, it is basically a newer version of the older Q-Series. Hi Adam I have a BlendTec Q-Series ICB3/ABC3-SMOOTHER (5-Pin) that recently had the power board changed due to an electrical issue (No Display Power). Now with the new power board installed, when switched on the display shows "Multi 00006" and there is no change when pressing the buttons for the blender. I've tried all Program Code in the Blentec User Guide even the Factory Restore code but still no change. What could be the problem and how can i get it fixed. Please help.

Hi, thanks so much for the comment. So, just to help me understand - you had your board changed and the service agent put in another 5-pin port board? That seems strange because the old 5-pin boards are no longer in circulation so most of the time if a board needs replacing, service agents will fit a USB board. Double check your board please and let me know. That aside, can you tell me what your issue is in more detail please? It sounds like you are saying that the buttons are not responsive at all - is that correct? Or is it that the buttons do work but you can't program it as per my guide here? I have model ABC-3 and after I on the blender give me I used it 741 time but when I touch the buttons not working nothing happened!!

Hi there, thanks for the message. Try pressing the following buttons in order 5 - 2 - 1. This is a reset code for that (older) model. The screen should say 'restore defaults'. If the touchpad buttons do not respond at all, it could be a loose ribbon connection. If that is the case, I reccomend you get in touch with your local Blendtec dealer. Let me know how you get on.

Hi Joseph, Thanks for the comment. The short answer is yes it can be changed. Unfortunately, the bad news is that the hardware (a little external black box) and software needed to change those older models has been long discontinued so extremely difficult to get hold of. Depending on which country you are in, it could be worth going to your local dealer and asking for an old style Q-series / ABC programming kit. The software came on a CD-Rom which was included in the programming kit. The part number for the programmer was 20-602. If you don't get any luck with this, I'm afraid the next best thing to do would be to ask your dealer to upgrade the blender to the latest spec which includes a USB stick. Good luck.
