When I lived in upstate NY where are winters were very cold and snowy they were grey, now that I live in Maryland and we have mild winters they are brown, I think they are grey to camouflage in cold climates, maybe?

What is the difference between a speech language pathologists, linguistic, vocal coach, ext? I currently do mental health counseling and have become more and more interested in treating communication disorders. My WJ-III-Cog verbal abilities has always been my strongest and scores in the 120s. I saw an SLP K-8th grade "f" & "th" used to be the same and "sh" & "ch" used to sound like TV static lol. To simplify my question are you an SLP, and are you a linguist? Are those the same or different?

No, my training is in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Most people that work in accent reduction have backgrounds in SLP, TESOL or music. A SLP would have to have specific training and licensing. Other designations are just titles someone decides to use to describe what they do. I am neither a SLP or linguist. My background is teaching languages. And accents are not considered speech disorders.
