How To Propagate Mulberry Trees

This video shows the entire process on how to propagate brand new mulberry trees. The first step is to select softwood cuttings, which are typically about six weeks after spring starts the branches should not be too Bendy. They should be somewhat firm.
You will cut a 6 to 9 inch section of branch strip off the bottom leaves and place that in the shade in wet media.
I have mine in an aqua Onik system, which floods the media every 15 minutes, then drains for 15 minutes. This happens all day long and turn off at night.
After a month or two, the cutting, and at that point, you can transplant into potting soil.  make sure you keep it in the shade and well watered for about two weeks.
